So the title is supposed to be an inside joke between comrades. However, despite the “cursed food” title, it’s not gonna be as terrible as it sounds. (It’s only terrible if you only read the title.)

Some time near 6 pm, and the Palace Ruler is at her desk with her granola bar in front of her. She’s SUPPOSED to be working on her assignments, training and bonding with the other cognitive Heroes, reaping the rewards, etc. And yet, here she is, working on a snippet and ignoring her food despite eating only a small cup of beef ravioli for brunch.
While she yearns to spend her time in a small town, she knows that she’ll regret it the next day. A shame, she thinks as she smiles at recalling what happened last night at said town.

Originally, she planned on reuniting with a few friends last night at a couple’s house—even introduce them to a couple of Heroes—and have some sort of group study session and catching up on MANY things. However, that plan was foiled when she noticed a certain couple that she knew recently. When she saw them, she noticed immediately that those two were in their own world…and this caused her to run away from them and everyone else. Her friends and Heroes tried to call out to her and snap out of it, but she refused to listen to anything.
All that was on her mind was, “Stay away.”
By the time she calmed down, she realized that she was all by herself. Using her treasured Breidablik, she opened a portal to a certain town and entered it. “I can’t face the others like this, so I’ll go someplace else to cheer myself up a bit.”
When she arrived at the town, she was starting to feel like her normal self again just from interacting with the residents. She had so much fun that it was already sunrise by the time it ended. Had it not been for her current circumstances, she would’ve love to stay there longer. Furthermore, her head was already pounding from the lack of sleep and from starvation.
As she opened and entered the portal to her friends’ house with Breidablik, she noticed that one of her friends was still awake, albeit extremely sleepy. It seemed as if he volunteered to stay up and wait for her to return.
“I’m sorry about all this,” the Palace Ruler said to him, “You can go to sleep now. I just need to eat first before I crash.”
Her friend sighed heavily at this, “You’re sleeping on the couch. Once you and your Heroes finish eating tomorrow, please return to whence you came from.”

I’m gonna have to explain to all of them about what happened last night, she thinks to herself as she can still faintly taste the sauce from the beef ravioli. From the scum of a couple to the running away to town, from my interactions with the town residents—
The Palace Ruler holds back her laughter at a certain topic they spoke of last night: cursed foods as titles. Apparently, one of the residents she interacted with used to experiment with various foods and drinks and claimed that they were surprisingly good. The only experimental food that he disliked was honey rice—basically mixing honey with rice. As a sort of joke—and also because she kept on thinking about Honey-Walnut Shrimp with rice—she requested to have the title of Honey Rice.
But even before she made that request, one of the town residents was given the title of Chocolate Juice. Apparently, he consumed a mixed drink of chocolate milk and orange juice. Everyone was laughing about it afterwards, though it was all for fun, not for making fun of.
Chocolate Juice and Honey Rice—wait, hold up! Odd titles aside, even if people understood the reference…
…wouldn’t this be considered a couple thing?
I mean, the Palace Ruler ponders about this, most couples have matching things. Matching rings—ok, let’s not get ahead of ourselves here—matching titles, matching clothes, etc.…
Suddenly, the Palace Ruler feels like a certain mini Egoist as she frantically searches for something on her bed. When she finds it, she tries to search for something specific.

“Wait, what does ‘nasake’ mean?
Nasake… ‘Pity, comion.’
No, that’s not quite it. I didn’t tell him all that out of sympathy or anything.
Oh, there’s a second definition. ‘Affection, love. Romance!’
Ro-Romance?! A-As in lovers kind of romance?!”
…
”What’s going on?!
Hey, quiet down up there!”

“Gah! Maaron, you scared the hell out of me!”
The Palace Ruler slams open her door wide open, clutching her granola bar in her right hand.
“Ok, enough fooling around and resting for me. Time to head out into battle with my Forging Bonds team to reap the rewards!” She says as she hurriedly walks away from her room to the main lobby of Heroes.
“…what’s up with her all of a sudden?”
