Don't you love when a show puts real effort into making the characters' world feel so rich? SU's media feels authentic, and you can see they are frequently distracted, delighted, and entertained by their media.
You believe it when Peridot drags Lapis into Camp Pining Hearts fandom. You get it when Steven and Connie have an in-depth discussion of their interpretations of the subtleties of the Spirit Morph Saga. You feel it when Greg's music is enough to captivate Rose and bring her into his life. You understand when Ruby is able to base her proposal on Lonesome Lasso's wedding comic.
We all connect through media in very real ways--sometimes in ways we can credit entire relationships to. It's so great that the Crewniverse made the characters' world so complete with believable art. So this is my tribute.

In that photo with the many books, the one called ‘It came from beneath the sink’ may be a reference to a Goosebumps book :) I swear I’ve heard that title, or one similar before~
