At my after school, we painted on some old records for some reason. Of course, I made something from Steven Universe, but two other of my friends already made the Diamond Authority symbol so I made something else.
I feel like what I made fit the theme of the round canvas better!
Also, a mini talk if I can have a moment of your time. Does anybody else feel a little... salty when your friend starts obsessing over something that you introduced to them?
I mean, here are a couple of thoughts that run through my head.
They never would've even known this if it weren't for me.
Steven Universe was MY thing.
They're trying to hard to be fans of SU.
Even though I know these thoughts are extremely selfish and insensible, I still feel them. I feel bad for being salty about my friends just finding a new and similar obsession.
I shouldn't be discouraging new comers, I should welcome them in. I think it's just that I had a part of my life away from SU, to my friends. When they talk about SU, however, I don't have that part anymore. My life is just SU.
I'm sorry if this sounds selfish, but I wanted to get this bottled thought out. Also, to my friends who fit this criteria, it's not you, it's me. It's great to have more people in the community and I'll learn to embrace that. (∩_∩)
