The Ghibli movie I have chosen to put in our present day is Princess Mononoke.

I would imagine that instead of San just having to fight against Irontown, I also think she would have to fight against a lot of other power plants and people who are trying to destroy the forests in order to save the place where she lives. She wouldn’t have any social media or electronic devices and so would send letters to Ashitaka, she would also try to get people involved to help her protest against the people trying to destroy the forest to be able to save her home.
