easter aesthetic challenge : my entry

hello!

today i will be posting two blogs. one is a challenge entry (the one you’re reading) and a challenge for you all to participate in. let’s continue with the topic of this blog. i’ve chosen to participate in the easter challenges this week, and for all challenges i will be collaborating with the wonderful nymph! for the first challenge, the theme is to create a easter aesthetic. i took the lead on this one, and edited together two profile pictures. i’ll talk you through our inspiration in this blog.

first we had to pick the characters, and since we’re collaboration we figured it was only right that we went with an iconic hunger games duo. of course there is all the romantic couples, however that seemed a bit cliché and easter is traditionally associated with family. there are a few family relationships aside from katniss and prim like katniss and gale, katniss/prim and their mother, finnick and mags etc. however we both really liked the idea of katniss and prim. nymph went away and picked the starting image, which i then tinkered with to create two profile pictures.

we chose very pastel colours for each. nymph requested blue as we both agreed that yellow would make prim fade into the image and pink wasn’t real within her character. for me, i chose green because katniss spends a lot of her time in the woods. for the gallery image i managed to find a pastel grid in both of our chosen colours and a filter, add a watermark, use white as our background image and bam! two easter aesthetics.
