ᝰ.ᐟ Here, this section will regard all the basic rules we expect before we get into the nit-gritty.

ᝰ.ᐟ Hive Mind has a 3-strike policy. Your first warning will be your is hidden for 24 hours.

Second strike will be an actual strike and 48-hour hide of your .

Your last and final strike will be a flat-out ban. Depending on the severity of the offence and or repeated offences will depend on whether you are eligible to come back from said ban after so long.

ᯓ Internet Safety ★

. Stay safe! DO NOT share any of your personal information here, or anywhere for that matter! Address, name, email, phone number, , anything that could lead you to risk of being hacked or found. Keep that to yourself. Or, in the wise words of Gandalf the Gray; “Keep it secret. Keep it safe.”

. If you see any suspicious activity. Asking for where you live, your name or your email, report it to a immediately.

ᯓ Mind your language ★

. Swearing is allowed here. We’re a 13+ community. (As all social media is) So we don’t expect you to keep your mouth clean. But we do ask you to be mindful of your words.

. Don’t drop the F-bomb into every single sentence.

. The only thing we do not allow is slurs. Any racist, derogatory, homophobic and or transphobic slurs are extremely prohibited from The Hive and depending on the severity of the slur, can end you up in a straight ban without any strikes.

. Regarding the usage of the swear word; Whore, we allow it with context base. We are okay with it being used in a jokey context, or brief mention within an ocs wiki, but if someone says that they are uncomfortable with the usage of the word and you continue to use it, a strike would be given.

. The mod team have thought and come to an agreement on this, for we know that not everyone is American (myself included, as stated in my introduction) and we know every culture is different.

ᯓ Spam ★

. When in a chat, please refrain from sending more than 4 messages in a row unless they’re parts of an OCs reply. If they are, it would be best to indicate that it is a multiple-part reply.

. Regarding posts, we allow no more than 5 posts a day and have to have more than three sentences of context within them.

ᯓ Advertising ★

. Keep ments within the community. If you are looking for people to your amino community, there are specifically allocated to that and we are not one of them.

. Regarding ments outside of Amino, the only things we allow to be d are commission sheets (Carrd, Toyhouse etc) and Toyhouse characters. BUT, they must adhere to our spam rules. And the no advertising your communities applies to this as well. We do not allow RPs that are hosted outside of The Hive without an RP on here in case Amino breaks and goes down for a while as it’s predisposed to.

ᯓ Credits ★

. If ing digital art of your own, you will be asked to provide proof through screenshots of the layer amount. Either on the post or in the comments.

. If using a real-life animal for an OC, you will be asked to credit either the poster or the post (if it’s from somewhere like Pinterest)

. If it is art you have not made yourself, proof of permission to use will be needed.

ᝰ.ᐟ First of all, what is copyright? Well, a simple Google search will let you know that Copyright is the legal right to a piece of material for a certain amount of time.

An example of this would be a commissioned piece of art. Music, photography, art, coding, etc. Belongs to the commissioner through the act of copyright through economic value. But with due credit.

ᝰ. ᐟ Plagiarism also runs under the family of copyright. Underneath Section 80 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988,

Plagiarism is the act of taking a person’s original work and presenting it as if it were one’s own. As Google will tell you.

An example of plagiarism is all the Shakespearean plays. Even though there was no copyright act during his time, it is now illegal under the Designs and Patents Act 1988 to steal his books. Even if you do change the words slightly.

ᝰ.ᐟ The Hive 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮 prohibits the breaking of copyright acts and plagiarism. If we find out you’ve infringed on plagiarism and copyright acts. More specifically, if copyright fair use is not put into place (giving credit to artists/producers), we will give you a strike.

Additionally, if we find out you have broken the Fair Use Copyright Act multiple times, we will the original artists, and whether or not they take up legal action is in their hands.

ᝰ.ᐟ The definition of harassment is as stated; any unwanted behaviour, physical or verbal (or even suggested), that makes a reasonable person feel uncomfortable, humiliated, or mentally distressed.

There are many ways someone can be harassed. Verbally and physically, as stated. But we’re focusing on the verbal at the moment, because Amino is a social media.

ᝰ.ᐟ Treat people how you want to be treated. This is the easiest way I can put this. If you’re going to be a dick to someone, don’t come running to the mod team acting all like “This person was mean to me1!1!1!1” as if it wasn’t you who started it in the first place.

ᝰ.ᐟ Harassment, by definition, is a form of bullying. Repeatedly sending offensive, rude, and insulting messages. Sharing information about another person that is fake, damaging and untrue with the purpose of ridiculing them. Which is something we do not allow here in The Hive.

Do not go about community, harassing other or even the mod team. And yes, we see being called tyrants and fascists as harassment. (This has happened twice to the mod team :skull: )

ᝰ.ᐟ If you are seen harassing anyone within the community, you will receive three warnings and three strikes.

ᝰ.ᐟ Additionally, discord servers. What do we allow for them? We only allow them to be d as long as there is an active RP on Amino.

Why, Hound? Because it is not uncommon for amino to break down once in a while and be unusable for literal weeks. So to keep your RPs alive, hosts have full permission to create discord servers to keep it alive. We also have a Discord server

ᝰ.ᐟ But, we do not allow servers outside of RPs in here to be d. Just like how we don’t allow communities to be d.

ᝰ.ᐟ Though, if you want to a piece of art, a brand-new oc, a new RP or a new OC, we highly encourage that. Evident by the frequent features we do and ment station.

ᝰ.ᐟ Within this rule, we have a subrule on spam.

We all know the drill. No multiple back-to-back messages. Don’t send back-to-back voice notes. All of that jazz.

ᝰ.ᐟ But addition to the spam rule, we ask you not to make more than 4 RPs unless we know and trust that you can keep it alive.

It’s not a case of favouritism. It’s not a case of picking and choosing. It’s so we know that inactive and dead chats don’t clog up the chatrooms and make it daunting for new people.

ᝰ.ᐟ The Hive Mind STRICTLY prohibits sexual content. This is a place that has a lot of minors, and a lot of Asexual people who are averse to this type of stuff. Additionally, we are a community centred around feral animals such as dogs, cats and wild animals. Why you would want to engage in sexual content regarding that sort of stuff, I don't know.

ᝰ.ᐟ Other NSFW content usually regards to other stuff you wouldn't be allowed to do at work. Profanity & Slurs, Disturbing content and Graphic violent content are some things classified as NSFW content.

ᝰ.ᐟ We allow certain points of the aforementioned with properly put trigger warnings. And I'm not just talking about a “Tw” slapped onto an ocs wiki, no. You need to be specific with what the trigger may be. An example can look like this;

“Before you progress further, know this RP contains mentions and usage of; alcohol, narcotics, murder, blood, violence and abuse. This RP is not for the faint of heart. If you are squeamish and or sensitive to these subjects, do not press further.”

ᝰ.ᐟ If someone has a trigger of those things and proceeds to press further despite the clear clarification of those triggers and reports you, you will not be punished. But fail to use proper trigger warnings and you will get a warning.

ᝰ.ᐟ But unlike the other NSFW content, Self-harm and Suicidal ideation can be a lot more triggering. So to prevent triggering other people, we strictly prohibit vent posting, venting in general without warning, replies that carry ideations of those sorts of things.

ᝰ.ᐟ If you are caught posting vents of self-harm or suicidal ideations, or writing an unprovoked vent in general chat, we will have no choice but to take it down, give you a warning/strike and if we SERIOUSLY feel you are unsafe or others are unsafe around you, one of the mods may call the emergency services of your country.

ᝰ.ᐟ Now, what are our rules of ocs with a history of self-harm or suicidal ideation? With correct warnings such as; “This OC has mentions of self-harm and/or suicidal ideation within their backstory. If you find this triggering, please move on for your safety.” However, we do not allow OCs to engage in active self-harm or suicide ideation.

Paedoohilia and grooming are STRICTLY forbidden here in The Hive Mind. If we get wind and valid proof that you are one, you will not receive a warning, you will not receive a strike. You will be banned. And you will never be allowed to appeal for a ban unless you can prove to us you have changed.

ᝰ.ᐟ The same goes for you Zoophiles. Especially you, because we are a community that focuses on feral ocs.

ᝰ.ᐟ Drugs and alcohol, we refrain from mentioning outside of RPs that have them in it. Yes, we do enjoy a good mafia roleplay every now and then, but it’s not all too often we get one. And we put the correct warnings.

ᝰ.ᐟ For discrimination, what do we classify as discrimination?

We classify discrimination how the law classifies discrimination. It is the act of treating someone unfairly or negatively based on characteristics like race, gender, age, disability, or other protected characteristics.

ᝰ.ᐟ What does this mean? We do not allow insulting/mockery of any person for things they cannot help. And if you are caught doing so, you will get a warning.
