Hello, Thrones! Today, I decided to

rate my top 3   episodes of GoT

that feature Margaery Tyrell. There

were so many to choose from, but

these three in particular stood out

thanks to Natalie Dormer’s spect-

actular performances. Along with

my ratings, I prepared moodboards

for each episode to represent them

overall. Enjoy! #bethronescertified

              ─── 🥀 ' VALAR DOHAERIS ៹

The episode “Valar Dohaeris” features Margaery first arriving in King’s Landing to see her betrothed, Joffrey Baratheon. I enjoy this episode particularly because for what feels like the first time in a long time, we see a bit of humanity enter the capital. Margaery stops in Flea Bottom during her escort from the Great Sept of Baelor, interacting with a group of orphaned children while her servants hand out bread and toys. This has to be one of my favorite scenes, earning it spot #3 on my list. I also enjoyed the start of Margaery and Cersei’s rivalry seen here, when Cersei realizes that Margaery possesses many traits that she does not. Ones that will make her more popular, beloved, and a real threat to her spot as Queen. Overall, I’d give this episode a 6/10. It doesn’t feature Margaery much outside of a few scenes, and the scope of the episode is really centered in Astapor with Daenerys and the Unsullied.

The episode “High Sparrow” features Margaery’s wedding with Tommen, which was shown briefly, but is the only wedding in Game of Thrones (I believe) that did not end in carnage! That in itself is a feat. My favorite part of this episode is Margaery and Cersei’s back and forth, in which Margaery insinuates that Tommen has been “exhausting” her in bed. Because of this, we see a bit of Cersei’s confidence slip, though I also believe this was the final straw and a turning point in what would be Margaery’s fate. I personally love Margaery’s dialogue to Cersei in this episode, even though it was certainly uncalled for and not smart. It had me rooting her on, and also shaking my head. But, it’s Game of Thrones…everyone messes up somewhere. All in all, this episode gets an 8/10 from me, as I greatly enjoyed beginning to see the workings of the Sparrows coming together.

─── :clapper: ' THE WINDS OF WINTER ៹

ꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀꕀ

I will start by saying, this episode even without Margaery will always be an 11/10. The sixth season overall has my whole heart as the greatest season the show ever produced. In the finale, “The Winds of Winter,” Natalie Dormer delivers a wonderful performance as Margaery piecing together what is happening in the Sept during Loras’ trial. Every second had me on the edge of my seat, feeling the same dread Lancel must have felt as we watched the candle burn lower and lower. The explosion of the Great Sept of Baelor and Margaery’s death was one of the only deaths that had not been spoiled for me, as it has not yet been discussed in the books. I never expected Margaery to be “end game” of course, especially with Cersei’s hatred towards her, but I did not expect such a gruesome scene. The shock of the explosion, along with the weight of Tommen's scene after…I don’t believe there is much else to be said.
