While waiting for my story ideas poll to finish, I decided to try my hand at a story that takes place after a completed genocide run. This will also be split into multiple parts. Figured it would help a lot with the pacing

The timeline resets, Frisk wakes up once again in the bed of golden flowers. Only, this time, they feel empty in a sense. They still have their own thoughts, feelings, and emotions, but the feeling of emptiness is embedded deep within their soul. They think back to the end of their last run as they continue to lay in the flowers, the dust that was on their hands, the faces of every monster that died by their hands, and the ending being an empty void with a ghost appearing before them. Chara. They had made a deal to destroy the world, only to make another deal to bring it all back. But were their actions truly their own? Chara seemed to be looking through them at the time of their first appearance, almost as if looking at someone Frisk couldn't see.
Deciding not to dwell too much on everything that had happened, Frisk finally gets up and begins their journey. This time, however, they're going to save everyone, no matter what it takes. However, when they come across Flowey, they already begin to feel guilt. Despite Flowey having his whole "kill or be killed" mindset, they saw how scared he was at the end of the last timeline and yet, they were already long gone by that point.
Frisk's guilt doesn't fade when Toriel saves them from Flowey, however. In fact, it only grows stronger. She was only ever a kind and gentle soul and they still mercilessly attacked her. Tearing up, they suddenly tightly hug her, the sight being reminiscent of a lost child being reunited with their mother. "Oh! There, there, my child. You are safe now," the goat monster quietly says as she hugs them back, unaware of the true reason they're beginning to cry.
Once calmed down, Frisk continues on their journey as normal with Toriel guiding them for as long as she can before she has to run off to shop for pie ingredients, leaving them to continue on their own. They act as nicely as possible to every monster they encounter, ignoring the memories of how they had brutally slain them all. Although, the longer they continue on this peaceful path, the more they feel as if their actions in the last timeline truly weren't their own. Sure, they had once thought about attacking back when they had first fallen, but they had never truly wanted to destroy the underground the way they did.
Once at Toriel's house, Frisk had decided to stay with her for a few days, wanting to make up for everything they had done, although they could never tell her anything. At one point, they had found the mirror in the hallway, becoming startled when Chara had appeared behind them in the reflection. "You seem as if you're finally beginning to understand what's going on," their ghostly voice echoes in the determined human's mind. "Your choices? Your actions? They were never yours. However, it seems that the one that made them had gotten bored, allowing you to forge your own path."
Frisk seems confused by what Chara means by this, still being a bit shaken up by the ghostly apparition. However, they know that they have to keep pushing forward and get to the end. They have to free monsters and save the underground. They are determined to do so, no matter how many times they might die, for the sake of monsters, humans... everyone.
