The harvest

I tried my best to do a version of this poem for Both French and English language. Luckily I managed to make it coherent !

Ce fut il y a bien des années

Qu'ici ma graine fut plantée

Chaque nouvelle pousse née

Perçue comme mon propre bébé

Progressivement je vis grandir

Ce qui deviendra notre avenir

Des pousses fortes en devenir

Que Mère Nature n'oserai ternir

Bientot je n'eut plus qu'à regarder

Mon champ s'élargir dans la vallée

Entretenus par de nouveaux alliés

M'apportant soutien et bonté

Mais devant la dureté des saisons

Toutes ne tirent pas jusque l'horizon

Endeuillé je perdais la raison

Le cycle poursuivait ses moissons

Telle s'applique la loi de la réalité

Mes soldats uns à uns fauchés

Rejoignaient ultimement leur foyer

La terre où tous ont été élevés

Mais la guerre n'attends personne

Le cri des enfants innocents résonne

Tandis que la santé m'abandonne

La culpabilité comme un glas sonne

Long ago in the past

I planted here a seed

Each new generation would last

My babies that I had to feed

Slowly I watched them grow

The ones who built my future

Their vital force was a strong flow

Couldn't be stopped by the Nature

Soon I just had to stand still

And watch all the crops spread

From the mountain to the hills

As allies came to help ahead

But as the season kept running

Sickness gave their eternal rest

Bereaved as the figures are fading

The cycle continued the Harvest

So is the rude rule of reality

My soldiers broke down one by one

Returning back to their territory

The land where they were once born

But War doesn't want to wait

I hear the innocents children' cries

Culpry, burden which act as a gate

Will haunt me until I die
