I’ve been bullied ever since I was in middle school in the sixth grade. Mostly due to the strange aura I have around me. I’m not comfortable being around other people and I’m not approachable because I don’t express much emotion. But of course, that didn’t stop Jake. I met him back in the seventh grade when he stood up for me when a group of girls were insulting me. He’s been there for me ever since and he started to grow on me. I felt like I made a real friend.
My name is Mei Kotoro. And these are my stories of how my life changed when a supernatural high school girl entered my life and thwarted my relationship with my best friend, Jake Hunter.

-The Mei Kotoro Chapter-
Never Gonna Give Him Up
It’s only been a few days since this supernatural occurrence took place. I’m glad Jake didn’t keep this a secret from me... or else I would have to make him answer for it! Anyways, it gave me a chance to plan for any moves Nona made on Jake. There was this one time where she did try and take a step towards breaking off my relationship with Jake.
It happened during the week Jake had Nona muted on his phone. After the last class let out for the day, Sensei had called for Jake to speak with him at the front of the room (I’m positive it was about yesterday’s homework he procrastinated on).
Jake hadn’t told me anything about what’s been going on with Nona ever since he muted her. This made me curious because within the couple days she had been muted she was probably still sending messages. So while Jake was busy talking to Sensei I grabbed his phone out of his bag and took a look into his messages.
I knew his code to unlock his phone since I’ve seen him unlock it before when he thought I wasn’t looking. I did it so I could look at all his personal stuff he keeps on there. Nah, I’m kidding. Sort of…
But I’m doing it this time to protect my best friend status. I don’t want anyone else moving in on him. Especially on MY watch. When I looked into the conversation with Nona, my intuition was spot on! I found the conversation with all the questions Nona was asking Jake. And another message that said:
“So if you don’t have a girlfriend -- then perhaps I could fill that role for you!”
Just the sight of this made me pissed off! I deleted the whole conversation and put Jake’s phone back where he had left it in his bag. I knew that b*tch was up to something but I didn’t think she was THIS forward about it! There was no way I would let my best friend date someone like THAT.
More importantly, I would never let Jake forget about me. So I decided to create a little metaphor that I obviously stole from a certain manga about a girl magician using a couple of tiny bunny sponges (which by the way, if you can tell me the name of the manga I got the idea from -- props to you).
Once Jake came back I told him to hold out his hand so I could give him a sponge bunny. When I did give him a sponge bunny I took my hand away and let the other sponge bunny move to the other sponge bunny.
“Woah. Neat trick Mei.” He said.
Of course he missed the meaning of the whole trick. So I blatantly pointed it out to him the best way I could.
“As you can see, those two bunnies are reeeeally good friends. You can’t separate them.”
Then I leaned in, looked him straight in the eyes, and said:
”JUST LIKE US…”
I’m pretty sure I came off looking and sounding very creepy considering I said that with an emotionless face and a dark tone. Because Jake just quickly put the bunnies on his desk, grabbed his bag, and walked out of the room at a very speedy pace.
But at least he gets the message.

Who knows the name of the manga that Mei Kotoro got the sponge bunny metaphor from?
