Each time she meets someone new, she soaks up their personality, and adapts to them, morphing into someone to fit into her new circumstances and the people in it. At first, Lottie studies people, observes their energy, the way they talk and move. She tends to take on their habits, use of words and stores small details in her memory for future references. She becomes obsessed with details and often takes things too far.

Lottie is an introvert in an extrovert world. She uses up a great deal of her energy to maintain her appearance with her friends. She wants to fit in, she wants to be liked and desired to spend time with while she also longs to be alone with her own thoughts. But at the same time, she also longs to be with someone, to share a bond, however, she only loves the idea of love. Not being able to figure out who she really is, she only truly enjoys her own company and having another person invade her personal space all the time triggers her and pisses her off after a while. She falls in love easy and falls out of love just as fast. She is charming and she tricks people into falling in love with her but there is no telling how long before her partner will start to annoy her and she feels trapped. Lottie has never been good at communicating and gets angry in a space of a second and her temper can lead to her being impulsive, acting out without thinking. She’s no stranger to being in trouble, often her decision making skills get her into situations she can barely talk herself out of.

There is a side to Lottie not many people know, next to zero actually. The side of her that disconnects from the world and from her own mind, to protect herself, the side that takes over if someone crosses a certain line and triggers her. Problem is, she doesn’t know where the line is or what can trigger her disconnection from herself. It can happen any time, even with the smallest of inconvenience. Not even she can predict what she would do during those episodes. }

➣ Lottie was born in Bronx, New York. She wasn’t rich, her parents rather struggled with money. They both worked in retail but they struggled to make ends meet as they could barely keep their house and when Lottie was born, their finances took an even bigger hit. Lottie’s mother died during childbirth, leaving her grieving father to take care of her. Thomas tried his best to take care of Lottie all on his own but the loss of his wife was too much for him and the responsibility of caring for their daughter was something he couldn’t cope with. He loved his daughter dearly but the grief was too much to bear, leading him to become an addict, and so when Lottie was only 6 months old, Thomas took her to an orphanage and left her there before he overdosed himself.

Lottie spent her first 2 years in the same orphanage before she was adopted by her first family. They took her home for 3 months before returning her due to her being problematic because she wouldn’t stop crying and screaming. She would barely sleep, only when she truly exhausted herself and even then she would wake up after a few hours and continue to cry. 2 years later, she was adopted by another family but yet again, she was returned after her adoptive parents couldn’t get her to eat. She would shut down and refuse to eat anything they gave her and when she returned to the orphanage, they transferred her to a different one in Manhattan. For the next few years, a handful of family adopted her and she tried her best to fit in with them. As she grew older, she learned to adapt to every new person in her life, wanting to belong but her new family would either get tired of her or simply stop wanting to be bothered with her. By the age of 16, she was in more homes and adopted by more families than one could count. This allowed her to perfect her ability to adapt but the downside of this lifestyle was that she had no idea who she really was, too busy trying to be someone else to please others. She was emotionally unstable and unable to connect with people on a deeper level except a handful of individuals.

She was only taken away from one family. When she was 13, a couple took her home. Everything was okay for a few months before her adoptive father, Chris, began to physically abuse her. He would get drunk and go for Lottie on multiple occasions, leaving her covered in bruises and sometimes bleeding. When he broke her arm, fractured her ribs and stabbed her in the stomach, she was taken to the hospital and was never allowed back, instead she was taken to a new home. That incident stayed with her, forever changing her.

At the age of 14, she had gotten herself into trouble when she befriended a group of young people who were no stranger to drugs. Wanting to fit in, she began to use as well and not knowing better, she allowed herself to be talked into taking it too far and once again ended up in a hospital then in a home that helped young people come off drugs.

A few days after Lottie turned 16, Vivienne Ryerson walked into the home she lived in and adopted Lottie. Vivienne seemed to understand and had the genuine desire to help and love Lottie like she was her own daughter and treated her with kindness and patience. At last, Lottie had a family in her adoptive mother and sister who loved her and protected her and Lottie loved them more than anything in the world. They were the only person, aside from Toria, who understood her.

Vivienne owned a video store called While You Were Streaming where Lottie started to work as soon as she turned 18 and continues to work there in the present days.

As far as friends went, Toria was her only friend Lottie loved. Everyone else she adjusted herself to, barely touching anything under the surface.
