. PERSONALITY.
general description:
:arrow_right_hook: When with other people, particularly strangers, Azriel is very quiet and withdrawn. Even when other people speak to him, there's no guarantee he'll say anything back. He has an intimidating aura about him that tends to drive people away. Most only interact with him if he's needed for a job. He's difficult to make conversation with unless you happen to bring up a subject he's interested in or he likes you.
When he's alone or around the few people he's truly comfortable with, he opens up a little more. He makes genuine attempts to hold conversations, even if he does struggle with this a bit, and he shows more interest in the other person. He also has a more apparent, albeit somewhat strange, sense of humor.

. BACKSTORY.

:arrow_right_hook: He grew up living with his mother in Hateno Village from when he was born up until he turned 27. When he was a toddler, he met a boy named Mordecai (who gained the nickname Major) who was the same age as him, and they quickly became inseparable because of their shared interests and opposites attract sort of dynamic. Nothing especially noteworthy happened to him when he was young.
teen years:
:arrow_right_hook: In his early teen years, Azriel found that he had a rather remarkable talent in killing monsters, no matter the type or class. So, he took it upon himself to be a knight of sorts, in spite of the lack of government since the Great Calamity. He wanted to protect his home from monsters, so that's precisely what he did. Major occasionally ed him in these endeavors, despite the gap in skill between the boys. However, later into their teen years and early adulthood, Azriel couldn't help but notice that something was off with his friend. Major was around far less often, and he seemed... sad, even regretful. Azriel never could figure out why.
On another note, he continued sharpening his skills, along with picking up a few other hobbies; namely making his own weapons and art. It wasn't long before he made a name for himself in his hometown by doing these.
adulthood:
:arrow_right_hook: One night, Hateno Village suffered a viscious monster attack, the likes of which hadn't been seen since before the Great Calamity. Powerful bokoblins and moblins terrorized the village, later being ed by several lynels. While Azriel was quick to defend it and slayed many of the monsters present, more just kept coming, and eventually he became fatigued. When it came time to finishing off a remaining lynel, he ended up losing the battle, getting knocked unconscious by a swing that could have ended his life if it hadn't launched him into the grass.
When he woke up, he was laying in the vast fields of Akkala with his injuries patched up, not another soul in sight. He has no clue how or why he got there.
Since that day, he's never seen Major. The Hylian was presumed dead, but Azriel refuses to accept this and actively searches for him in his free time.
While Azriel may not have lost his life, he did lose many memories. He doesn't most of his early adulthood, and he occasionally struggles to details about himself or others, like names or birthdays.

:arrow_right_hook: Since losing his memory, Azriel became much more closed off and cautious. He has a job as a monster exterminator/bounty hunter of sorts; it's said that if you pay him enough rupees, he'll take out any monster you desire with no questions asked. He resided in a small cottage just east of Death Mountain until Tarrey Town was built, which he moved to immediately.
He spends most of his free time engaging in his hobbies, spending time around Lunas, or looking for Major. Aside from his business in monster killing, he also sells his artwork and wooden statuettes.

:arrow_right_hook: Comfy, but practical. He wears a grey-blue cardigan that's tucked into black pants, with no shirt. (Although, sometimes he doesn't have the cardigan either). The pants are baggy, but slim into a tight fit at the calves, and they have two large pockets on each side. There are also several straps that dangle from his pants. He also has a few pouches and holsters, which he uses to carry rupees, arrows, and other small items. In addition, he has black boots with brown-red heels that zip up.
