i decided to participate in The_Mad_Caker’s three month challenge! Their post about it can be found here. however, i wanted to change some things up to make it more personalized to me. i did keep a few of their ideas because they were really great. i also shortened it because i couldn’t come up with enough ideas - oops! i encourage you all to do this too, but tailor it to meet your needs :)
week one : go to sleep earlier and wake up earlier.
this is perfect for me, school starts in a few weeks and i need to get back on track!
week two : start exercising for at least 30 minutes each day, and get 10,000 steps daily.
i’ve been meaning to get exercising, so this is perfect! it’ll also give my body a chance to flush out the toxins from before i started eating healthier awhile ago.
week three : get ahead on my school assignments.
when i get assigned projects, i always procrastinate and wait until the day or two before they’re due. not anymore!
week four : start infusing water to get some of the fruit’s health benefits!
infused water tastes more flavorful than regular, boring, old water. plus, fruits like lemons are very healthy for you!
week five : start praying, meditating, or reading the Bible for at least 10 minutes each day.
yes, i am a catholic but i feel like i’m not as into it as i should be!
week six : start spending less time on my electronics. maybe fifteen minutes in the morning, an hour after school, and thirty minutes at night?
i spend a ton of time on my phone, and it’s time for that to stop! i should try other things like reading and drawing — things i used to love.
week seven : start helping out more around the house.
i am in highschool so i still live with my parents. when i help out around the house it always makes me feel good, so why not do it more often?
week eight : start giving at least five compliments a day.
receiving compliments always make me feel sooo happy. i’ll start making others happy!
week nine : start having spa nights once a week.
taking care of myself is quite a priority to me. plus, i love baths, so being able to look forward to one every week and is exciting! plus i can do face masks and other fun stuff :)
week ten : start reading every night.
i find it hard to read during the school year, so feeling obliged to will help me to read more!
i’ll be starting this challenge on sunday so i can keep on track easier, and i’ll update weekly on it :)
