hello! welcome to today's blog. this is in participation with the timecapsule2025 challenge.

I was inspired to write this poem.

the quote by the great poet above suggests that even though things are alright now, that they will be better in the future, hence the title but there are other interpretations that can be drawn, such as; " all the reocurring events in your life will come to or be sured by something better." I believe that's something good to keep in mind. please enjoy<3🧚🏼‍♂

with the hour hand resting on our shoulders,

gentle touches, fingers stretching awake.

for that moment in time, I received you.

our bodies marinated in our history.

sensed you riding  within our souls just to open our hearts to depths yet unknown.

I blew off the dust to let your fine needle find a groove.

old sounds coming althrough out but  it feels right. sounds like yesterday, how it felt like home.

endless spiral of old joy. I wanted to unravel them. like a ball on a string and just dance. twirling around the room, as they wrapped around all of our bodies.

spun around, nostalgia taking over my eyes, the things I once forgot that I had. harmony sepia sun rays surrounds me a vintage dream of happiness plays around us the music, life of belonging.

like a lifetime ago as if I ever loved like I ever did. wanting more. but, was there any proof of that?

we carved our names into nothing.

an ache embedded itself, in that moment, I was held.

the fading film reel of a smile was all that I had at that time.

am I ready to open the door?

somewhere deep inside my heart

there still lives a young soul

what path am i on? what will my dream make of me?

dazzlingly ing through,

those memories

maybe, the past was the best.

explanation ⁾⁾ ៹

the poem was inspired by yet to come by bts.

as it was suggested before, the poem is about, "that even though things are alright now, that they will be better in the future." there were some illusions and metaphors that I used during this production. eg "I blew off the dust to let your fine needle find a groove." I was referring to a phonograph aka a record player, this instrument uses sounds following vibrations of a stylus or a needle following a groove on a rotating disc. I accompanied the sound of the instrument to something of the past, so it could've created a comforting atmosphere. sure enough I used this atmosphere as a reocurring theme with each run-on sentence but it cuts off eventually when the persona began spouting out rhetoric questions.
