![10 Great 2.0 Levels-[IMG=V5E]

I haven't posted in 10 days. There's a valid excuse for this. I went on vacation to Gettysburg and New Jersey. I'm still in New Jersey for another day while I'm writing this post, but I managed to find some time to write this. Anyways, 2.0 was quite a long period of time. After all, we had to wait more than a year for 2.1. Because of this, creators had plenty of time to create interesting levels with the new features and push the limits. Let's look at 10 of those levels that did so. None of these are in any particular order.

#1 Lonely Travel

Funny Game made lots of levels which people thought were "revolutionary", but this one had to be the best. People have made song length levels before, but they were only around 3 minutes long. Funny Game pushed the limits by making a 6 minute long level. Not only that, but you could see that he was trying to stay in the 30,000 object limit of back then by moving objects around and using other methods. Some of the sections also look really good like the robot section with the pipes, the UFO section with the pulsing clouds, and the ball section where the spikes disappear depending on where you touch.

#2 Altergame
__________________________________________________
This was the level that started it all in the Altergame series. This was no longer Geometry Dash. This was something else; something special. You played as a small square as you tried to avoid many hazards such as deep sea fish, the penguins that would soon appear in Mastergame, and shooting stars. To top it all of, the level has depressing music to start off the series. We can thank this level for the many sequels and Mastergame. Serponge truly thinks outside of the box.

#3 By The Fireplace

This was another level just like Altergame. It was no longer Geometry Dash. It was an auto level which would later be known as a movie. Triaxis clearly took advantage of the "infinite" colors and the new triggers to make this level possible. You also got to slightly control the main character in the movie by making him jump and fly in the paper plane. The level may have a weak plot, but it sure was revolutionary for auto levels. If it wasn't for this level, we wouldn't have Mr Gawne or whatever that movie with the weird dog was called, Pirate Whatever, Technoloid, and many other great movie levels.

#4 Dear Nostalgists
__________________________________________________
Look what it is! Another level by Triaxis. The main reason why this level is so unique is because it uses 1.0 blocks in a 2.0 level. Unlike Conical Depression, Dear Nostalgists did this in a good way. The level has great decoration with the limited amount of work material, and uses a great song by Bossfight. My favorite part of the level is probably the part where you have to avoid the pink speed portals as funky music plays. People may hate this level for it's bugginess, but you shouldn't judge a level like this for its bad gameplay. I hope a similar level is made in the future.

#5 Underground
__________________________________________________
Just like I said how Winle Day is the 1.9 equivalent of Underground, Underground is the 2.0 equivalent of Winle Day. This has to be the best fan made level in 2.0 that doesn't use a texture pack. It tries to look like a Fingerdash like level and it ends up looking very impressive with the blocks matching up almost exactly. The spider sections in this level were very impressive as well since Abstract Dark made the spider animations as smooth as possible. He even made the spider have the player's color without it looking weird or transparent. The bats and their animation was also very impressive. This needs to be remade in 2.1.

#6 Forever Bound
__________________________________________________
This level isn't too special. It kind of drags on for a while using not so appealing styles. The effect in the part after the drop in the backgrounds look impressive with the blocks in the background moving as well as the cubes that look like the ones from Deadlocked in the rocket section. The trees in this level are okay, but the bark could have been more appealing to the eyes. After a rather long section of blandness, we finally get to the good part in he level. That is of course the rainbow section. BobRatchet must have been frugal with his objects at the beginning of the level to use the rest for the rainbow section. It's very impressive with its effect such as the white shining on the blocks and the several move triggers which make the rainbow blocks look as if they are affected by your weight. The black happy monsters in this level might as well have been the inspiration for 2 icons in 2.1, one of which has been used by Peter.

#7 Cube Story GD
__________________________________________________
This was the first ever Cube Story level. If it wasn't for movie levels, we wouldn't have cube Story levels. The first one in the series is a rather simple one where RobTop fights a hacker. He then ascends into heaven as the main character asked when 2.1 would come out. This may not have been the best Cube Story, but it did allow for other people to make other cube stories with better graphics, better story, and better music. I first heard Ghost House and Milky Ways Redux from Cube Story levels. If only they didn't have broken English.

#8 Insanity
__________________________________________________
Serponge did a lot in this level to make it unique. He used a rather funky song, he made his own saw blades in parts, he made ramps look like a bunch of small platforms, and he made the chain saw towards the end. The main reason why this level was so great was because of the chain saw itself. Although it only appeared for a few seconds, it seemed to be the main gimmick in the level. It didn't look all that detailed, but you're still going to see it on most of the thumbnails of people completing this level. This level is also song length like Lonely Travel, but it isn't 6 minutes. It's only 3.

#9 The Yatagarasu
__________________________________________________
When I first saw this level, I thought it was a 2.1 level. Why wouldn't I? This level has so much detail that couldn't be made in just 30,000 objects. It may have had some stolen ideas in the level, but who cares? The level still looks great. I especially like the mushrooms in the beginning and the part that takes place after the first boss fight with the city background and the moon which was probably stolen. Manix could have put more detail into the waterfalls, but I really shouldn't judge a level for one small faulty detail.

#10 Yatagarasu

Look what it is! A level that totally doesn't have the same name as the one I just covered. Anyways, this level is probably the best Hell Demon in Geometry Dash. Other than Cataclysm and Death Moon, I feel like this is the only one that actually took effort to make. The fact that this level was made by multiple people made it even better to look at which everyone's style, even if Michigun's part didn't look so good aesthetically. There was also some swing cooter parts and rotating objects even though this was made in 2.0! TrusTa may have nerfed this level, but that really doesn't matter. It's still an insanely difficult level. I still can't get ed 0%. Good thing this level was verified days before 2.1 came out. If that wasn't the case, you'd all judge me for putting this on the list, even if I was going to put Black Blizzard on this list initially.
Before I go, I need to say this.
