I'm an absolute (K)drama enthusiast (as you can see by the screenshot I added from my drama statistics) and a lot of the dramas I watched had some idol actors/actresses in it. I'd love to talk about the dramas they act in and what kind of characters they play.

4. who are your favorite idol actors/actresses and why?

D.O. is definitely one of my top favourite ones if you only include idol actors that are still actively making music and not just focusing on acting. I think he's really good at expressing emotions while acting and his facial expressions and tone :clap: . I wrote a blog about him before that I linked in the section for blog examples.

5. what are your favorite dramas that idols have starred in and why?

Oof that is a difficult question. Angel's Last: Love would be one for sure because I loved the plot so much and the role of the angel fit Myungsoo so well imo. Then another one is Hello Monster in which D.O. has a smaller but important role (but I won't explain why I like the drama so much because I already talked about this way too much in the past 4 years :joy: ). The last one I'd like to mention is Alchemy Of Souls which I absolutely loved because of how different it was to the usual Korean historical dramas (it felt more like the Chinese fantasy historicals) and I loved the story of the leads and this was my first time seeing Minhyun act and I thought he did quite well and I liked his character🥺.

How active/dedicated would I need to be though? Like is there any plan of how often a blog comes out?

no we don't have plans. we have many ideas gathered, so we used to post like every month, i believe. but at the moment we're trying to get the team back to being active. plus you can post solo blogs in between team blogs while you don't always have to participate

3. How can I contribute to the team?

i am an avid kdrama addict and in most dramas that i have watched, idol actors have played major roles. since my love for kdramas appears to be very dedicated, i want to have more chances and possibilities to express it and i believe working for this team might be the opportunity that can help me to achieve my goal of blogging more related to kdramas! i believe this certain dedication and motivation of mine can help the team having more projects and contents!

4. Who are your favorite idol actors/actresses and why?

when thinking about my favorite idol actors and actresses, i usually don’t pick the ones i like the most as my favorites. something i like to focus about when talking about my favorite idols in the acting industry, is their skill in acting and how they impress me, within their expressions, roles and the way they develop. (no particular order below)

for example, one of my all time favorite idol actress is sooyoung from the girl group snsd. she has starred in many dramas of different genres, rom coms and crime/thriller dramas. the work that impressed me the most was her role in “tell me what you saw”. the character is a ver difficult one, with interesting backstories and a deep character development. i personally felt like, from the 1st episode until the last, she developed along her character. if you compare her expessions from the first episodes and the last ones, you can definitely see a change and i strongly believe that this drama and role contributes a lot to her acting journey.

i think it would be cruel not to include taecyeon on this list. he really surprised me within his acting through vincenzo. after watching dramas for over one and a half year, i do well understand what it takes to act out a role and the role he played is a very tough one… from facial expressions to the way he moves around and behaves… its a unusual personality and trying to be that person for a certain amount of time must be hard and somewhat draining? i think he did very well and i don’t believe many actors are capable of portraying such a strong and complicated character well.

5. What are your favorite dramas that idols have starred in and why?

i generally have troubles finding a favorite drama since all the ones i have watched were truly great, but i’ll pick vincenzo for this one because this drama just sets a whole new standard. it includes a somewhat foreign view through the character vincenzo cassano, who was born in korea but spend most of his life in italy, finding himself in though yet funny situations in korea. the drama follows a mystery and crime related story, but in each episode, there is a funny plot to it. the whole cast was very well chosen and i am especially dazzled by the characters from the geumga plaza, who improved so much throughout the series. i don’t want to spoil too much, but you know why i adore it that much if you watch it!
