I didn't expect to be back after such a short time with a new blog but I felt like saying some things about dramas and me, basically problems which occur when I watch dramas. This could get kinda messy so I apologize in advance.

I don't have any self-control at all, I can't stop watching dramas, I should've done maaaany things the last days/weeks but for me it NEVER works with "Only 1 episode more and then I'll stop". It's the worst when I'm just starting a drama because at the beginning often not much happens in romance dramas so I'll watch until half of the drama is over because then finally something happened. I've been awake until 3 am because I couldn't stop so I'm tired the entire day and end up doing nothing but watching dramas. It's been worse when I think about my beginning of watching dramas, there were days when I was awake until 7 am (of course that only concerts the holidays but still) :joy: . I'll somehow really have to learn to stop because now starts a really important year where I'll hace to do a lot as everything counts so I guess I'll have to hide my phone soon or Idk, do everything by all means to stop myself from watching dramas.

I'm the type of person who gets easily bored by a drama and starts another one just to forget the one before. That way I end up putting too many dramas on hold even if I enjoyed them, just because I needed a short break from them. When I put a drama on hold once, it's very unlikely that I'll ever finish it, it's almost as if I dropped it and I think that's sad because the drama was actually pretty good. So yeah at the moment I have like 25 dramas on hold.

That moment when you can't get over how good a drama was... I'm sure everyone has had this at least once. I had this a few times last year and also when I just got into dramas but I kinda got used to it until it got extrem this year. I watched Duel in February and I still can't move on. I think about this drama weekly and always watch clips. I'm currently rewatching it and just want to find another drama which is this good :sob:

I'm the type of person who legit starts everything but never finishes it. It doesn't matter whether dramas, shows, books, blogs or whatever. That's a problem for me because I dislike having unfinished things but I'm a HUGE procrastinator so the result (only unfinished dramas) is never satisfying.

I often start too many dramas because I can't control myself because many dramas pick my interest for a short while like it's the case right now: I'm watching 8 dramas and as I know myself I won't finish half of them because I get distracted by other new dramas and don't focus on like 2 instead. Even if I'm only watching 2 dramas at the same time I'm craving for more and I have no clue why.

I have a lot of dramas in my "plan to watch" list but despite that I never find a drama which I really want to watch and I'm in the mood to. There are days where I search for 4 hours a drama which I could be interested in and still can't find one. That's when I start random dramas out of despair which I never intended to watch and as a result my "plan to watch list" gets longer and longer.

That leads to my next point.

I realized that I get more and more picky about the dramas I watch as I got disappointed quite often and of course I want to avoid that. I used to start dramas without having read the plot or even knowing the genre but that was LONG ago. Now I have to know the genre, read the plot, watch trailers and mvs of it, look up the rating and even look which actors play in it. If one of these factors isn't good enough for me it's not very likely that I'll watch it. I really dislike that tbh because watching dramas spontanously without knowing anything was fun but I can't do that anymore somehow :pensive: .

As I already said I have many dramas on my "plan to watch" list but never watch them. What do I watch instead? Dramas which I know I'll drop ... Why?! I don't understand my brain, why would I start dramas which I know I'll dislike or know that I'm not going to complete anyway? One example was when "Clean With ion For Now" got released, I couldn't find any drama I was in the mood and started this with knowing that I dislike the plot, like it was so NOT my style but well. The result: I dropped it after 4,5 episodes and dislike it. What did I learn from it? ..........

This is again connected to the previous point, I sometimes start long dramas although I know I'll drop them. I often like the plot but I just never have the patience to watch a 60 episodes drama or even 40 episodes drama. I'm still surprised that I finished one drama with 52 episodes, I don't have hope that this will ever happen again though :') That's why I'm not the biggest fan of Chinese dramas because they tend to be long.

Recently a new problem occured: I have problems to even finish a 16 episode drama, that's why I watch many short dramas and movies at the moment.

I think some of these points were the reason why I had a long drama slump not too long ago. I hope that I won't get this anytime soon again.
