The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest gets Anime

Kodansha announced that Alto and Yuunagi's The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest light novel series is inspiring a television anime that will premiere in October. The anime's official website also opened and unveiled the anime's teaser trailer, visual, cast, and staff.

Ken Takahashi is directing the anime at Gekkō with Masamune Hirata as assistant director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is in charge of the series scripts, and Yōko Satō is deg the characters with Nobuhide Hayashi as the sub-character designer. Both Satō and Hayashi are also credited as the chief animation directors. Diosta inc. and High Speed Boy inc. are composing the music.

The story centers on Alec Yugret, a magician who dedicated himself to magic in order to help out the crown prince and his efforts to clear out dungeons in their earlier days. The prince suddenly fires Alec as the court magician one day, declaring that someone who only knows how to cast magic is useless. Now jobless, Alec is ed by an old friend named Yorha, who asks his help to once again venture into dungeons.

Kore Kaite Shine gets Anime

Shogakukan announced that Minoru Toyoda's Kore Kaite Shine manga is getting a television anime adaptation that will air on NTV. The tagline on the below first visual reads, "For everyone who loves manga."

The manga is set in Izuōshima, an island 120 kilometers south of Tokyo. The story centers on Ai Yasumi, a high school girl who loves to read manga, and learns about the joy and pain of drawing her own manga.

The Demons Plan Something Good! gets Anime

Kadokawa announced that Takuji Katō's The Demons Plan Something Good! comedy manga is inspiring an anime. Takuya Asaoka is directing the anime at TNK.

Yen Press describes the story:

   While things like slime that melts clothes or tentacle traps may not seem like much to humans, behind each trap of this nature is the blood, sweat, and tears of a demon. Enjoy this comedy story about the struggles of demons that started on Twitter with brand-new short stories.

Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms gets 2nd Season

The official X for the television anime of Ran Kuze's Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms manga announced that the anime will get a second season.

The anime premiered on January 6. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, and it is also streaming an English dub.

Rurouni Kenshin gets 3rd Season

Aniplex announced at AnimeJapan 2025 that the new Rurouni Kenshin anime is getting a third season. The linked video announces the third season at the end but does not reveal any other details.

Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Disturbance, the second season of the new anime project based on Nobuhiro Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin manga, premiered on October 3. It is airing for a continuous two cours for a half-year run. The first season of the new anime premiered in July 2023. The anime ran for two consecutive cours. The second cours began in October 2023. The anime re-adapts the main manga series.

Re:ZERO gets 4th Season

Kadokawa announced that the Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- anime will get a fourth season. The staff revealed the first teaser visual and a special trailer video.

The third season's "Shūgeki-hen" (Attack Arc) premiered on October 2 with a 90-minute special. The "Hangeki-hen" (Counterattack Arc) premiered on February 5. Crunchyroll streams the series as it airs. Each arc has eight episodes.

New Manga Kimi wa Sekai no Chūshin Desu

The May issue of Kodansha's Kiss magazine announced that Renjuro Kindaichi will launch a new manga titled Kimi wa Sekai no Chūshin Desu (You Are the Center of the World) in the magazine's next issue on April 25.

The "marriage story" (right in image above) centers on Nonoko, a third-year high school student who just turned 18. She goes to the same school as her childhood friend Yoichi, but they have not had a proper conversation in years. Until one day, they suddenly a promise they made when they were kids. The image above shows the two lead characters holding a traditional Japanese marriage registration form.
