My spreads so far have all been minimalist, and I've been wanting to make prettier ones, but it's been hard not to feel intimidated. So I decided this month to get a bunch of stencils and use those for May.

If you compare to my April spread, you'll notice the layout is more or less the same; I just replaced most of the straight lines with stencils. I did pretty much the same for my weeklies.

I did keep the straight lines in my To Do section, but I turned them into flowers so they'd fit the theme. I'm actually quite proud of how this turned out! I'll definitely be repeating that particular idea in the future.

I also decided to try a more artsy Habit tracker. I modified one of the stencils for this; hopefully it looks good completed!

Last month was poetry month, so I had a list of poetry ideas below my trackers, and a list of my poem titles in my monthly spread. I want to continue the habit of writing every day, so I'm going to try a monthly line-a-day as well as a weekly gratitude spread. One of the things I liked from the brain dump assignment in BuJo class was to look back on my thoughts, and this way it's worked into spreads I already use, so I don't forget about it.

If anyone has other tips for getting more comfortable with artistic spreads, please let me know!
