Catching Up with Alastor

Lyra had to go see Carmilla for another training session, so she gave Victor a kiss and Nova a kiss on the forehead just before she left. Victor then brought Nova out in the hallway walking by herself until she bumped into Alastor.

Alastor: Now, careful there, little missy. Always watch where you're going before you bump into someone.

Nova: Yes, Uncle Al.

Alastor: Oh, so you know how to talk at such a young age.

Victor: I was surprised, too.

Alastor: And I assume your fair maiden has already left to do her daily training with Carmine.

Victor: Yes and I was just watching Nova until she comes back.

Alastor: You seem to be quite proud of yourself. Learning better and adapting better. Didn't think you had it in you.

Victor: I am a first time parent like Lyra. I always wanted a daughter and Nova was my chance.

Alastor: I see, now. Though there is a first time for everything.

Victor: When Nova was still a newborn, Lyra and I got a bit of advice from Rosie and Carmilla. Ever since then, Nova has been doing well.

Alastor: And you're back on good with Carmine since then?

Victor: Yes and I'm just glad I was able to get that problem out of the way.

Alastor: You always do learn from your mistakes, Victor.
