Now on Wattpad. Literally the whole story so far is up there, I just got out of habit of ing here.
TW: Mild bad language, violence, cannibalism
Word Count: 9650 (excluding Author’ Note ect.)
Time taken: 7 days
Summary: The semi finals and finals of the new tournament. Don’t worry, no manga spoilers yet.
Author’s Note:
Before things start... I am an omnipotent body that can change the flow of the story if you so much as Go-Gos in my direction, so keep that to yourself. The original characters and base story beats were made by Horikoshi, I’m just relaying things in 1-B and making some changes to spruce things up.
Any correlation between the OCs and something else is a coincidence.
Hopefully you understand this before I piss you off in any way. Let me repeat that. This is my story; I am bored so I wanted to make something for fun, so fuck off if you get annoyed at me because I miss-measured the size of Re:Destro’s nose.
And before I forget, I’m writing this for my friends first so expect a few inside jokes that you won’t get.
So without further ado... I present the fifty-first
episode of Shenanigans In 1-B! WOO!

With the completion of the quarter finals, only four teams remained, obviously. Pixie-Bob changed the terrain once more, this time, a mixture of the field, hills and the canyons. Nejire was happily humming to herself as she spoke to Yuyu and Intelli. They'd won, on the tail of him unlocking some new moves. They looked pretty cool if she was to say so, and pretty pretty.
Spongey flowers? So cute.
Next up was Juuigen and his team, Yuyu wished his friend good luck and reciprocated the fist bump she offered, watching her go. Something knocked against his chest she noticed
"Hey, hey, Yuyu-onee-chan! W'as that thing around your neck?"
"A necklace?"
"You're into jewellery?"
"I guess, if you look at it a certain way. I can make amber, so I can make gemstones. So I make jewellery sometimes. Almost none's permanent though." He itted, fiddling with the thing around his neck, a large purple gem was lodged into bone.
"That's cool! Anything else you can do?" She leaned towards him, almost clambering on top of him. Genyu didn't lean away as he thought. Any information on her new 'little brother' would be a prize.
"Well... I'm competent with a sword... I can make fire. I learnt to sew a few months ago..." He relayed a few things.
"Sew?" Nejire cocked her head.
"Yeah. My rival put a cut into my favourite shirt when we spared one time. I learnt to sew to repair the damage."
"That's so sweet! I hope that rival of yours has apologised." The Big Sister backed off and stretched in her seat, curling a lock of her hair.
"He has."
"Could you tell me about him, or her?"
"What's there to say. I respect him. I'm on friendly with him, while Mei's the one that actively seeks to continue the rivalry. He obliges. I dunno what else though, never really thought about it." Genyu gave an almost disappointing explanation, she was hoping for something more... elaborate. Like a backstory.
"That's nice. Do you want to know some stuff about me?" Nejire asked nicely.
"...Mei, I can't ask her that." He muttered to himself. "...Why do you want a strand of her hair, L.S? I don't have a question for you."
"It sounded like you did."
"Not me. And I'm in control for the moment, so no questions."
"Aww." She pouted, turning away from him and folded her arms. "You can cheer me up with an onigiri."
"Sure. Just , that's technically a part of me." He formed the rice ball in his palm and offered it to her.
"Thanks Yuyu!" Hado took it gleefully and began to eat it.
^She didn't hear you.^ Mei said blandly into his head.
^Nope.^
"THE SEMI-FINALS OF THE SHIKETSU NATIONAL INVITATIONALS BEGINS NOW! Also stop planning." Present Mic instructed the participants.
"No! We missed the planning!" Nejire panicked.
/-/
Kinoko, Juuigen and Marcel all knew what the plan was for the enemies. Lure, dance, kick. It worked flawlessly the last three times, so why wouldn't it work a fourth? Simple. They didn't have to move.
"I've noticed something with how they work." Marcel spoke up, polishing his glasses with his shirt. "They've lured in their enemies with that 'Flytrap' fellow's Quirk. All of them were close range fighters that would have had to get near anyway. We don't."
"Do the pair of you want to take a more active role this time?" Juuigen asked politely, sitting around for a minute left them without a plan; not that they needed one.
"If you wouldn't mind." Kinoko looked to the ground sheepishly. "I kinda feel like I haven't been pulling my weight, just following you up on the rare occasion."
"I shot a guy with a cannon. I'm fine with whatever now." Marcel shrugged tiredly, putting his glasses back on. Something hit their noses. A sickly sweet smell greeted them, she felt slightly tipsy just from the brief exposure. "Allow me! Barrel-cade!" Stacks of barrels surrounded them, keeping everything where it was as Juuigen seemed to get the smell out.
"Feels like Christmas." Kinoko staggered slightly.
"Aren't you a little young to be getting drunk?" The Prince asked sincerely.
"Wha-? No, shut up!" She exclaimed, getting a laugh.
"We're kind of in the middle of a fight here." Goro muttered. "I doubt that they'll take the fight to us."
"That's where Komori-san comes in. I have the location all locked down up here." Juuigen tapped his head. "I can shift gravity to fling your spores their way. If that fails... we can just throw a barrel at them." She nodded in agreement.
"I hope it works." Was all she said to it, going to the position he gestured to and felt the hem of her shirt and tros slightly incline up her. "Don't look if gravity exposes me!"
"I can't see without my glasses, don't worry."
"I've been taught not to stare unpermitted at people."
"Okay. Say when."
"When."
"I would have thought that this would have worked by now." Flytrap said, face down to Iida's calf with their strategy in full swing.
"Could there be something we missed?" Groovy thought. "Maybe they don't have a sense of smell?"
"You buffoons!" Tenya announced to them, realising something before things were too far gone. "They always needed to come to us anyway. These three do not!"
"Why didn't you say anything?!" Dance-Off Man looked down his way.
"I thought you knew!"
"Damn. We'll have to dance another way. Disco Move: Hypnotic Rave!" His cross-hatched skin began to sparkle, reflecting the overhead lights surrounding the arena. A few seconds later, beams of light sprung off certain areas of his skin into the sky. It was indeed hypnotic. Iida and Flytrap couldn't look away.
"What are you doing? That's going to keep them still!" Flytrap yelled. "We need them over here!"
"Look away! The movements of the light dumbs you down. But on a hunch..." one of the beams began to curve slightly, bending around a point in space. "I knew it! Iida-kun! Get us out of here!" Following the order, the two boys were dragged by their scruffs by the Class President. Reaching the hilled area, they looked back. Mushrooms had sprouted from where they'd been.
"Good call." Iida nodded in agreement with the decision. "They knew where we were and attacked from afar. The one true counter to our strategy."
"What now?" Flytrap cocked his head, tapping his toes to the floor repeatedly. Groovy was thinking.
"We bought the fight to our first opponents, but they posed much less of a threat. But we're all close quarters combatants. I'm stumped."
"Did either of you grab our rock?" Iida asked rhetorically, looking between them and not seeing the objective to defend.
"Whoops."
"Then what do we have to lose?" Shade cast a shadow over his eyes, his glasses shining before them.
/-/
"I don't like this." Kinoko huffed. They were trapped in their 'Barrel-cade' without knowledge of what the enemy was doing. She'd produced spores and Juuigen had shot them away, but no more was known to her. "Do we have any way to not dance if we engage?"
"We could cover our noses." Came the valid response from Marcel.
"Why're you making a big deal out of it, Komori-chan?" Juuigen asked casually. "If you want I could-"
"No. I want to help the team! And I feel like I haven't done anything meaningful. I don't want to ride your coattail anymore, the finish is in sight and you've done all the work." She interrupted him.
"I don't mind that, honestly." Came the reasonable response, Marcel began to do something while his teammates discussed.
"I just don't want to let you down. You're trusting me, and I feel like I'm betraying that trust." Juuigen put a hand onto her head.
"Don't worry. I'm not hoping for immediate results, ?"
"You two? I have a way to leave." Goro said blandly. An open topped jeep of some sort had formed out of barrels. He got in and took the wheel. "Who's riding shotgun?"
"We're abandoning our rock?" Kinoko asked with concern.
"No. There's room in a backseat." They were told.
"There's less room in the front, I'll fit." She got in. "No seatbelts?"
"Does a barrel or crate look like it can be one?"
"Not at all." Juuigen got into the back with the rock and the 'Barrel-cade' they were in disappeared as they began to move. "Might I ask how you're doing this?"
"No."
"Just a bit curious."
"Marcel-kun! Right side!" The little mushroom girl tapped him in the shoulder, the driver gave it a sideways look before pulling the handbrake and turned the car ninety degrees towards what she saw.
"Three enemies in our sight. Moving across the hills." He nattered. Iida was running as fast as he could to safely transport his allies across the battlefield. "Awaiting a plan." A moment of silence followed and the opponents crested a hill and left their view.
"Drive Komori-chan to safety. I can't dance, so this will be no issue to me." Juuigen jumped out of the moving car and floated towards the hill.
"Seriously?! I don't care what he wants to think, Goro, follow him!" She said harshly, hesitating for a moment, he obliged and drove up the hill.
"She's taking initiative? Good. Take charge. Be... superlative in you work." Prince said to himself in pride, looking down at his enemies. "Hello, down there." Floating down, he was without cause for concern about them. The wide-mouthed one seemed to breathe out his Quirk, enveloping the field between them.
"Tell me when." Iida looked between them.
"Well it all depends on-" Groovy cut himself off as streaks of light came from his skin. "Go!" A booming engine sound met their ears as the blue haired boy attacked. The two seemingly sensory attacking moves meant nothing if they were predicted.
"What?!" Iida exclaimed in shock. His foot had seemingly gone though Juuigen.
"Shiketsu Technique: Emitter Zone: Flux." A faint, black aura expanded out from the pair of them. Loose bits of dirt and stone began to rise and the beams of light bent all over the place. Something crested the hill behind them and a car was sent tumbling down their way. Iida jumped back and helped his allies before the attack hit him. Looking back he spoke. "I thought I told you to go?"
"Not happening, Imperial Majesty." Kinoko said stoically, a singular cough came from Marcel who was with her. The barrels that made up the wheels of the car cracked slightly and he caught onto what they were doing.
"Well now. That's treason." He laughed, his Quirk picking up the car and breaking it down. The pieces accelerated at the targets, hitting hard.
"Ow!" Groovy rubbed his arm. "That's it! Light won't work and neither will the smell. So I just have to confuse you. Disco Move: All Encoming Rave!" All of his skin began to shine and beams reflected from all over him.
"Emitter Zone: Lightless Realm." The sphere went pitch black. Coughs began to come from the unseen enemies. "Just in time too." The coughs delved into wheezes and the sound of bodies hitting the floor greeted them. Light was restored to the zone and the three opponents had been rendered useless.
"Splitgill Shrooms attack the lungs." Kinoko announced seriously, clambering down the hill.
"It seems another deadly move has been used by Team Fourteen. And because of a small print stating: When all three of a team have been incapacitated by a continuous torment, they lose. So Team Fourteen win once more!" Pork explained to them.
"Very, very good job." Juuigen smiled to the pair of them.
"We made it to the finals!" Her mood had shifted immediately back to being chirpy.
"Yay." Marcel gave a tired pair of thumbs up.

^Kinoko-sweetie won!^ Kakumeiso celebrated in Kaikiban's head. His team were awaiting to go down into the battlefield.
^It seems so. I shall quite like to meet her personally in the future.^ L.S stated. ^Mushrooms are interesting lifeforms.^
"I'm sure you'll get to meet her eventually." Kai muttered to himself.
"You say something?" Katameru asked politely, straightening her cap.
"Just talking to them." He pointed to his head.
"You got that new guy in there right? Can I say 'hello'?" Hado leaned very close towards him and stared into his right eye. "Hello!"
^This one is peculiar. A powerful Quirk and appealing assets. A prime candidate to on genes. I propose pursuing sexual deeds with her.^ The newcomer stated.
"He says 'hi'." Kaikiban was not about to tell his 'big sister' what had just been said about her. The elevator dinged and they switched places with Iida's team. Travelling down and onto the pitch, they got to their shop and began to set up. "This might be the end of the line for us."
"Gee, don't be so down in the dumps! We can pull through!" Hado slapped his shoulder.
"Have you actually seen who we're up against?" Katameru rose an eyebrow.
"Uh-huh. Amajiki-kun, Roku-kun and that Kaizou-chan girl."
"Kaizou-senpai's a monster. Roku-senpai's psychopathic. And Amajiki-senpai's deceptively strong. I'm not going to say we're screwed just yet. But a very good plan is needed if we're to win." Proteus thought aloud. Ideas for potential ways to win were in constant flux with the prospects of the fight.
"Then it's simple! Kaizou-chan's an offensive powerhouse, Meru-chan is a defensive powerhouse! I fit a fight with Roku-kun better than you, Yuyu-onee-chan. He already has my Quirk. So Amajiki-kun's up to you! See simple!" Nejire-chan beamed to them. "And we'll help out each other if we need to."
"I guess hope is the best things we've got. Improvisation it is." Katameru decided to celebrate by tossing her arms into the air.
"I'll hold the objective then." He deadpanned.
"The final fight of the semi-finals is about to begin, are you all ready? Go!" Pork instructed them.
"And off we go." Taking the initiative, he sprinted away from them, towards where he expected the enemy to be. Hado was flying a bit behind him and Katameru was left by the now hidden rock, opening her arms as if to ask:
'Why?'
A black streak flew their way and steam coated Kaikiban before Kaizou attacked. Striking his shell, he skidded back from the force. It didn't seem like she was pulling punches, black horns had already pronounced themselves on her head and wings from her shoulder-blades. He could feel the unnatural aura coursing off of her. The sound of flapping met his ears and Amajiki followed up her initial attack by slashing down with numerous tentacles tipped with swordfish. A black paw sent him further back and Hado swooped in with a defensive blast, separating them.
"I'll find Roku-kun!" She said down to him, all four of her limbs had spinning energy wrapped around them.
"Not happening." Kaizou stated, her paws had black energy spike out of them in an attack. Kaikiban quickly erecting a wall of sap, keratin and sponge, the spikes dug in and stopped. The yellow energy from Hado spiralled out and caught her, trapping her and sending her flying away; towards where they'd left Katameru unattended.
"Trial Biomancy: Bone Vineyard." He released his circle of bones attempting to catch Amajiki in them before the grapes grew. The response was a pair of clam shells growing on his arms and slamming them shut, protecting him from the grape explosions. Nejire had already flown off and left them to their own devices. There was a parting in the shells and a swordfish spine threatened to stab him. Ducking backwards, Amajiki capitalised on that, leaping forward on chicken legs and grew one out at a massive range to flatten Kai against the ground. Scratching the ground, he sent small seeds into it and shut off his scent receptors. The seeds popped and a rancid smell forced the Big Three member to reel in disgust, allowing for a moment of weakness and letting him be released.
Forming his sword, Kaikiban slashed across Amajiki with precision, grating along a concealed shell of his own on his chest. Something rocked the floor and a trail of darkness caught Proteus off guard, sending him sprawling. Flipping while touching the ground, he rightened himself and met the extended tentacle punch with one of his own. Another thing caught his eye and he backed off, a laser shot past and into the floor.
^The others of his team are sending attacks our way. They're coordinating perfectly.^ Kakumeiso told him, Kai's skin glowed as he activated 'Relinquish'.
"Is that so?" He said aloud. "Imitation Series: Shiozaki Todoroki!"
"Vast Hybrid: Consuming Tentacle Sprawl!" Amajiki countered with. Each of his fingers extended into tentacles and chicken feet donned them. The toes also extended into tentacles and those were tipped with beaks of a sort. They met the bones head on and matched them, apparently they were filled with muscle and fat to absorb impacts. What they weren't filled with, however, was shock resistance.
"Trial Biomancy: Organic Bolt!" Forming numerous electronic eel organs in his body, a powerful shot of current ed through the two sets of disted limbs and into Amajiki. He let out a pained yell as he felt his entire body tense up from the flow into the ground. Wrapping bones round a single beak, Kai yanked him towards his person. His imitated move had been used on a pair of extra arms and one of his original pulled back to punch. Loosing it, the sound of a loud and crunchy impact greeted him. His fist had been stopped by a mixture of bones, fat and muscle. ^Did he eat one of my bones?^
"Thanks for the snack!" Came the response, his hands and arms going back to normal, and a swordfish forming on one of them. ^Octopuses have neurotoxin in their saliva. I'll tip my sword with that!^ he stabbed out. The thin point of the blade stabbed into Kai's arm. ^He stopped it with pure muscular? It doesn't matter. The venom's already in.^
^Kaikiban! We've been poisoned!^ L.S. warned him, using his own hyperawareness over the body to know. Not even hesitating, the moment the point stopped, he detached his own arm.
^That's super gross. I'm gonna hurl!^ Amajiki thought quickly, losing his hold on his foe. Regrowing his arm from steam, a balled fist was instantly impacting on his face. The speed was near instant. The shell on his torso cracked apart as he was sent back quickly.
"Trail Biomancy: Trap-Jaw Splitter." Proteus was rolling his shoulder after the hit, steam fixing what had been damaged. That one had had some aftershock.
"The oral nerves of a trap-jaw ant? That's a bit much..." Amajiki quivered slightly in his recovery. His nerves were setting in. "I guess we're serious now." The stood off against one another once more.
Kaizou was facing off against Katameru with slight trouble. The crystals were annoying to deal with. Her physical attacks couldn't break them and her darkness only pushed them away. But on the other side, defence was the only thing she could respond with. Initially, Meru had tried to attack, but found herself overwhelmed by the 'Seventy Percent Demon' form. Kaizou didn't want to overextend herself early and Nyx's energy was an Accumulation Type Quirk. It was doubtful that even a full powered 'Demon Queen' attack could break the defence.
Paws struck a crystal wall and Kaizou jumped over it into a blind spot.
"Deep Soul Barrage." Holding her paws out, a barrage of small dark projectiles pelted the opponents. Another wall blocked them all, the sparse energy gathered into one place and span into a thin beam. It spun at a high speed and ground against the edge of a wall.
"Benevolent Cleaver!" A very long and wide sword was created and slashed out at her. There was an impressive amount of force behind the attack as it was blocked with an arm of darkness. The beam spun through the wall and a small shard of it broke off.
^Bingo.^ Kaizou knocked the cleaver aside and manipulated her dark energy into a long arm, snatching up a fully protected Katameru. Snatching up the shard, she flew away quickly, towards where Amajiki and Kaikiban were fighting. They had knocked each other away. Spinning quickly, she launched her captured enemy at her other enemy.
Feeling something coming imminently, Kaikiban dodged back. Katameru slammed across the ground and rose, unsteady. Kaizou touched down next to Amajiki, throwing something into his hands. There seemed to be an unspoken agreement between them.
"WHAT ARE WE ALL DOING TOGETHER?" Came a scream as Roku also reunited with them, Hado nowhere to be seen.
"About to go second stage." Kaizou prepared herself, marking Proteus as her target; as originally intended. He blocked another of her hits in a moment and skidded back. Fighting back slightly against he relentless assault of punches and kicks with a new sword, he cut a line down her front in an opening. It did nothing as she continued on, purple flames igniting to counted the darkness.
Amajiki turned an arm into large tentacles after watching them go to attack the other girl. Roku shot a laser at her to follow it up. Her new, thick shield was capable of tanking the powerful hits well enough, only sending her back a bit. What was unexpected however, was when a swordfish spine stabbed through the shield.
"What?!" She exclaimed as another followed it. Examining it for a split second gave away that it was coated an extremely pure crystal. The best of her own. ^When did he eat it?^ Her defence was retched away as Amajiki pulled his tentacles back, exposing her to a javelin made of electricity from Roku. It hit her abdomen and didn't hurt all to much. Seeing that that hadn't worked, the guy decided to follow it up with a black aura. The ground tore itself up around him and he touched his fingertips together. They all grew immensely and were shot her way. A quick barrier stopped most, but her carbon reserves were running low.
Blindsiding her, Amajiki galloped in on bovine legs and wrapped her up in tentacles. Crystals enveloped his back and upper body as a shining yellow light slammed him from above, Katameru getting released. Hado had a leg against his back. Roku threw more giant rocks their way, but she pointed one hand at him and a large blast of energy shattered them and dug him through the ground.
"Hey! Are you okay? That looked tough."
"Just about." Was the response. Amajiki bucked Hado off of him and caught her in one tentacle. Yellow light glowed from within it burst.
"It seems like we're all here." Kaikiban noted, the momentary lapse in attention was capitalised on by his dark foe. She caught him in the shoulder and staggered him slightly. A black sword formed in her now human hands and slashed through his front.
"Shiketsu Technique: Emitter Zone: Eclipse." A black pulse echoed from her, trapping him with her. Their swords clashed and raw power was met with raw power. Both seemed to have a degree of extrasensory ability, leaving them to clash in a classic sword fight. Emitter Zones were a tough spot for Kaikiban, attacks flung at any angle and a strength boost for the put him further on the back pedal, discarding his sword in a burst of flame for a moment's relief.
Outside, carnage had befallen the four. It was a free-for-all between the two teams. Capturing everything must be a pain for the camera crew. Hado blasted into Roku's dark shield and Katameru slammed a warhammer down at Amajiki, who dodged sideways. He was launched back as Hado hit him from behind, she was struck by an explosion to the face. He had left himself completely open to an attack from behind as he shot off more explosions, the pages had seemingly shuffled to make them home in on Hado.
"AP: Burst!"
Seeing this, Meru's hammer shimmered into a smaller cleaver.
^You're wide open!^ She slashed at him from behind. It phased through his body as the tome turned a page. His shirt fell to the floor. It had been a trap. Dread coursed through her in realisation. Another page turn. Freezing air chilled her before she could react and spikes of ice formed from the ground. They stabbed through her arms, legs and torso; not hitting anything vital, leaving her motionless above the ground in a makeshift crucifixion pose. She was stunned for a moment before screaming.
Hado looked pissed at seeing that, turning the heat up on Roku and drowned him in a gigantic blast of yellow energy. He didn't manage to copy it before Amajiki clasped him out of it. That left him out of the fight. Kaikiban was backed up to the wall of Kaizou's Emitter Zone, it seemed to vary which ones had walls or it was toggleable. Ducking a swipe, her sword cut through the wall and left a weakness in it, he capitalised on it by torrenting steam and methane from his body as a defence before igniting it all. This busted a hole on the defence which quickly healed up after he slipped through. Hado was being wrapped up by crystal costed tentacles, preventing her from escaping easily.
"Hey! Suneater!" Kaikiban yelled at him, catching his attention. His skin glowed slightly as he channelled everything he had into a spectacle. Bones grew from his collarbones as steam rose from his upper half. Black skin enveloped between them and extended up and over him. Steam surrounded the flesh cor dramatic's sake and four glowing eyes were formed. It towered over Amakiji and a large mouth opened.
"You are going to die." Kaikiban stated through the aspiration. The serious Suneater quickly became timid and cowardly.
"I want to go home..." he stated in fear, closing his eyes. His own lapse in concentration allowed Hado to free herself. An attack would have hit him in the top, but a dark shield flew past them and protected Amajiki. Kaizou came in with a further assist as she got 'Big Sis' out of the way.
"Amajiki-kun! Do what you must to win!" She yelled back at him. The loose arm was nearby and was gestured to him.
^That's cannibalism!^ He mentally protested as the ladies departed in a scuffle. There wasn't much time before the large upper half of Kaikiban attacked. Huge tentacles met it head on as Suneater turned his lower half to a bovine's and galloped away, snatching up the limb.
^Kaikiban. This thing is a hassle to keep. Discard it.^ L.S. instructed, the black thing for a body disappeared in a puff of steam, obscuring their vision.
"Trial Biomancy: Writhing Vine Coils!" Vines sprawled across the ground, but others appeared and fought against them. A book was open and the vines came from there. Roku rose his head, tome returning to him.
"I can't move, and recovery Quirks are a nightmare to find. Saijumei's has run out now anyway." He struggled to get up. Standing raggedly. "I can't beat you like this. Congrats. I hate to say it." He rose his head dramatically. "SUNEATER! KICK HIS ASS FOR ME!" True realisation and acceptance came over the recipient's face as a giant arm crushed Roku into the floor. Breathing slowly, Amajiki brought the arm to his face.
"Proteus." They met eyes. "I'm just starting." Without hesitation, the Big Three member turned his teeth into crystals and bit into the arm. Kaikiban hadn't acted fast enough to stop him, a thin bone turning the limb to steam. It was too late. "I'll show you Suneater." His skin bubbled before deforming and growing out and around him. It kept going until he grew immensely into a quadriplegic creature. He towered over Kaikiban, who gave an exasperated look to the floor, before removing his shirt.
"Yeah. I see it." Proteus quipped, Amajiki sprung with unbelievable speed for his size and a large arm sent him back. A large mouth attempted to bite him and he grew out his right arm into a mock ball and chain. The ball was a large mass of flesh, muscle and keratin. It easily weighed more than an average human and he swung it easily. The ball slammed into the side of the monster, pushing it back. Spinning once, the rotational force allowed for an uppercut to push further and a yank pulled it down with force. A thick, blubbery material coated Amajiki's back and absorbed the impact, the fat rippling as it did so. His flesh bubbled again and lines of bones jutted from his arms. Each one sped out and grew into crystal tipped pikes. Kai weaved between them, deflecting when needed and a ball formed in his hands. "Trial Biomancy: Edge Transit." Bowling the ball with a motion, to shot into its target and exploded violently. It did some good damage, but not enough to deter Amajiki, the pikes all snapped into one, trapping him in the musculature.
"Forgive me." He rose Kaikiban into the air and slammed him down. The impact knocked stuff around in his head and it caused him to go dizzy. There was no mental shenanigans to help him out this time. To make sure, the crystal pikes wrapped him into a cocoon and were severed from his body. Turning his attention to Hado and Kaizou, he was surprised to see an even fight. The somewhat slow projectiles of Hado were dodged by Kaizou and her own dark attacks were blocked out by short range blasts. Spinning at high speeds and her arms out, Nejire-chan released everywhere.
"Emitter Zone: Surge!" She announced, attempting to copy the technique.
"Inconsequential. Deep Soul Barrage." Numerous shots pelted her, getting an exclamation of pain. Beast Mode Amajiki hurried over and coiled tentacles together, springing forth a venomed swordfish spine. It stuck info Hado's leg and he injected the venom. The prick caused her to tense and loose attention for a moment, that moment gave Kaizou enough time to fly above her and punch her into the ground with full strength of both sides of her overall Quirk.
"Yuyu... Meru... I won't let you down. You're relying on me to win!" Nejiren attempted to get up, finding her leg giving out beneath her.
"It's neurotoxin, Hado-chan." Amajiki informed her in his monstrous state.
"Ama...jiki...-kun." Her vision became doubled, giving up when her other leg faltered and arms went numb. "What... happened... to you?"
"I became Suneater." Was his almost edgy response. Maki didn't see a need to land a finishing blow on the downed girl, they'd already won. Flying away to find the rock, it was just discarded in a hole. It broke from on stab down.
"WITH BRUTAL METHODS, TEAM TWENTY HAVE SECURED ANOTHER VICTORY!" Present Mic screamed at full force. "AND WE WILL BEGIN THE FINALS TOMORROW AT TWELVE O'CLOCK! BE THERE OR BE SQUARE FOLKS!"
At that the bodily reaction of eating human flesh took over Amajiki and he vomited the contents of his stomach onto the floor violently. All of his shenanigans with his Quirk were undone in that process.
/-/
Nothing happened between the end if the Semis and the start of the Finals. Kinoko strutted with her newfound friends onto the field. This time, it was a completely even surface. Not even grass was grown on it. The cold, winter, midday sun blared a light that hadn't been in the tournament so far onto everything. The two teams were beside their rocks and awaited the countdown.
"FIVE! FOUR!! THREE!!! TWO!!!! ONE!!!!! BEEEEEEGIIIIIIN!" Present Mic screamed before they had a chance to create a plan.
"Before anything happens, I want the pair of you to know that it has been an honour to fight beside you." Juuigen looked over his shoulder, a deep black ball formed in his hand and he threw it; watching it speed off and leaving a trail.
"And I you." Marcel nodded.
"And me!" Kinoko bounced, the pitch hadn't won them the instant win, and a bright light came their way. The air shimmered around them and the beam was redirected. It circled back and was redirected again.
"Graviton." Juuigen held his hands together and the laser ed into it. "Gravity beats light." Angling his hands forward, the beam was reflected back at Roku. The open plain between them proved easy lines of sight between the teams, it was getting to each other was the issue. "Komori-chan! Put your spores in here!" Nodding and immediately releasing her Quirk into the graviton. Another release happened and the spores were flung over the space, the force of the gravity helped them along. Marcel was behind them constructing the jeep and hit the side of it when it was done to alert them. Getting back in together, he hit the gas and they drove off.
Something was moving across the plain towards them, most likely Amajiki carrying his allies like an old western movie horse. One of the doors of the jeep reconstructed itself into a cannon barrel and the back opened for something to fire.
"Kormori-chan, if you would." Marcel didn't need to gesture, not that he should since he was driving.
"Got it!" She declared, sticking her hands right in there, the inside already popping to life full of mushrooms as she stuffed as many as she could into it. The cannon closed.
"Majesty!"
"On it." Juuigen put his hand against the barrel and Goro pressed a button, it boomed as it fired out all sorts of small, mushroom covered barrels and spores. Amajiki dodged and a black glint caught Kinoko's eye.
"Brace!" She yelled, holding onto something. The glint smashed into the side of the moving vehicle. It upended the jeep with the force and they were sent into the air. Juuigen righted himself and Marcel instantly and missed her slightly, adjusting his aim to try again.
Screaming incoherently, Kinoko sent spores out in all direction, doing anything to not smash into the floor at whatever speed they had been going at. *Like... thirty miles an hour? Roughly.* Putting her hands before her face, she waited for the impact that would break something. That never came, instead she had a soft and squishy landing. Opening her eyes and bringing her hands down, she was in a bed of mushrooms, perfectly carpeting her landing zone. Another black projectile came her way, and the mushrooms in with her expanded out rapidly to encase and protect her.
"Protect Queen Komori!" The largest one came to life, being calf height. "FOR THE MOTHERSPORE!!!"
"FOR THE MOTHERSPORE!" Other mushrooms screamed, the projectile was stopped by the girth and number of mushrooms forming a shield.
"DO NOT BE DETERRED MEN! YOU HAVE WAITED YOUR ENTIRE LIVES FOR THIS VERY MOMENT! FOR THE MOTHERSPORE!!!" The roots of the mushrooms pulled themselves from the ground and they ran as one, charging down the enemy.
"What the fuck's going on over there?" Roku asked Kaizou and Amajiki, the two non-four-legged students were riding on Amajiki.
"Her Quirk awakened. The same as Genyu-kun's. It seems like U.A. students awaken theirs much faster compared to other students." Kaizou thought, the shrill incessant war cries of the mushroom army was somewhat irable. They lived to die, and they knew it. "Charge." Black energy formed across her body and into an old style suit of armour. The tome touched her arm and Roku suited up as well. Galloping towards the mushrooms faster, the fungi began to ebb towards them as well.
"You did it!" Juuigen stated proudly, coming to a stop beside Kinoko; who was staring on in surprise. "It wasn't what I was expecting. I thought you'd just be able to control them, not give them intelligence. They seem to follow you without question as well, laying down their lives for your safety."
"I did it..? I did it!" She got to her feet with an excited jump, completely giddy.
"Guys! The jeep's totalled." Goro broke the news. "We don't have to many movement options left."
"I'll carry us." The Prince told them, breaking a piece of the earth off of the ground and lifted them up.
"HER MAJESTY HAS LEARNT TO FLY! USE THIS IN STRIDE MEN!" The general mushroom yelled to his comrades, facing down the charging Amajiki. They all let out a yell as another war cry as the enemy reached them. The force of the hooves against the ground and being charged down by a centaur flung them up into the air, where they were quickly destroyed by the armoured Kaizou and Roku.
"NOOO! THEY GOT SPORETA!" One yelled. Some were beginning to latch onto the cow legs and climb with their roots. Others suctioned onto him and wrapped their roots around him.
"They are extremely dedicated, to the point of suicide." Marcel pushed his glasses up, creating a barrel. The Motherspore knew exactly what to do and filled it with more spores. Juuigen picked it up with gravity and shot it down. Kaizou saw the attempt and shot it out of the air, spores and mushrooms falling down upon them.
"Ugh! These are so gross!" She exclaimed, a couple popped up on her arms and legs. Black wings, horns and a tail popped out of her as she went 'Devil One-Hundred Percent' and her black energy formed an evil aura around her as she initiated a 'One-Hundred Percent Pact' with Nyx. Flying up at them in a black streak, Juuigen dropped from the platform to meet her. Coiling gravity in his fist, he met her punch head on and was sent back. Making sure to lower the others to safety before properly fighting. The two strongest students in Shiketsu West showed their power by darkening the skies with their light shunning Quirks and explosions of darkness and fractures in space littered the sky.
Amajiki continued to mow through the mushrooms with slowly reducing ease, some of the fungi were latching onto him and beginning to slow him; getting into ts and preventing them from filly closing. The largest mushroom caught his attention and he turned his right hand into a crab claw. ing by the large one he grabbed it with the claw.
"Commander!" One of the other mushrooms yelled.
"DO NOT WORRY! MY LIFE MEANS NOTHING IF WE LOSE! FIGHT MEN!" The commander yelled at his troops. "KILL ME, COWARD!"
"Shut up." Suneater loomed before taking a bite out of the mushroom. Only needing one, he threw it to the side. The spores that had rained from above sprouted to life, only, these just stayed in place as normal mushrooms. "There's a difference between these mushrooms and those." He noted to Roku.
"I see that. The ones in a crisis came to life and the normal ones are just mushrooms." There were mushrooms growing off of both of them by that point. Something had formed away from the mass of sentient mushrooms and was aimed their way. It fired and barrels pelted the both of them. Clam shells protected them from any real damage and more spores had spread. Roku had taken it upon himself to eliminate the threat and his tome flipped pages, the air cooling. "Fly you fool!" He instructed, a pair of chicken wings spouted from Amajiki's back and he took off. Surrounded by the encroaching shroomy army, the floor around his feet went frigid. The shrooms around the frigidness were frozen to the floor. Immediately after, spikes of ice sprung out from all angles, impaling most of the mushrooms.
"No..." Kinoko stated worriedly, seeing her newfound attack get beaten back like that.
"Komori-chan! They've left their rock wide open!" Goro tapped her shoulder. "Leave them to me! We only have to break the rock, not their bones!" An overhead explosion and the ground a few hundred meters away plumes up and fractured.
"What about you?"
"I'll cover you." He put both hands on her shoulders. "It's time to be a Hero, Shemage." Hearing this, she nodded. Turning the way of their barrel, she bolted as fast as her legs would carry her. Marcel followed from behind, offering covering fire with bouncing and exploding barrels. In an attempt to protect them, Kinoko released spores along her left. Roku took aim and fired a laser, a barrel lid flying into it and blocked it for a moment, allowing for them to by initially without being blasted. It circled back and was once again his by a barrel lid.
The rock was just coming up, a hundred meters away and galloping was encroaching on them. Marcel turned and faced down Suneater, breathing slowly. Ten large lids formed before him and he pushed them forwards, using it as a shield to protect them. A swordfish point stabbed through all ten and turned into a sawfish nose. Sawing through, the two didn't have much time. Roku flew over to Kinoko to attempt to stop her.
"Mega Mushroom Megalomania!" She yelled, releasing as many spores as she could while running. There were so many that prevented him from getting any closer, sensing that they could all hurt him.
"Sporegill Mushrooms, huh? Not bad." He landed and turned the air cold with page flips. "You're small and adorable, but I don't have an issue with hurting you." The ice spikes rushed towards her, through the spores. Just before she was skewered like her soldiers and Katameru, Juuigen stomped through them from above. Shifting his feet, a wave of gravity tore the ground out from Roku and caught him in an inverted rockslide.
"Go!" He yelled, coughing once. The mushrooms had infected him. A rock from the ground was given to her by him and she continued. Kaizou's downwards attack was redirected and she landed between the two team . Hands outstretched to shoot them down, Juuigen sent a pulse of gravity at Shemage's feet and boosted her with the detonation, landing her a few meters from the rock.
"Foolish." Was all the Queen of Shiketsu said as she blasted the already fallen King with both hands. Propelling herself, she outstretched her hand to grab her before she could do anything to the rock. The darkness surrounding her disappeared, as did most of her 'Devil' Quirk.
^Lady Maki! You ran through the energy too quickly for me to send it!^ Nyx exclaimed.
^How long until reactivation?^
^A minute.^
"Shit!" Kaizou exclaimed herself, going out of character for a moment and managed to yank Kinoko back a bit. The small scream of surprise was all it took for the mushrooms surrounding the two of them to awaken. She looked on as the surmised power from the roots of the mushrooms restrained Maki to her knees. "Dammit! Nyx!"
^Thirty seconds.^
"I'm sorry." Was all Komori could muster, turning and bashing her stone into the rock multiple times. It cracked after three and broke apart after four.
"THERE WE HAVE IT FOLKS! THE WINNERS OF THE FIRST AND HOPEFULLY ANNUAL SHIKETSU NATIONAL INVITATIONALS! IT IS TEAM FOURTEEN!!!!!" Present Mic blared his lungs out to all of them.
"My good sir, I can't feel my ears." Pork's voice followed it up.
/-/
Yay! Midday ceremony about the top four teams. Yay! They were all given medals for their appropriate placement and were all given a metal container. They were instructed to not open it there and then; so they didn't.
Literally like half an hour ed and the U.A. lot were back on the bus going back to U.A.. Tsutsumi was very ill, her medication hadn't kicked in and Housei was blaring 'Despacito 2' from her phone while badly singing along with Lorde. Kakumeiso was in charge and was sat between President Kendo-sama and the Motherspore, hands round both of them in a hug.
"What's in the box?" Itsuka asked them, probably curious.
"No clue. Kinoko-sweetie? Shall we?" Mei asked her short friend.
"I don't see why not." The metal containers had a button on the side and both of them pressed their respective ones. They slowly flipped open and revealed two different looking objects. Kinoko's was a black stellated octahedron and Kakumeiso's was a pink stellated octahedron. There was a round centre on the front of them and out of curiosity, Mei poked hers. The holographic blared to life and the edges shifted before it started to float. What sounded like a yawn came from it.
"Hello." It spoke. "I am your assigned Personal Assistant Sentiently Calibrated Lifeform serieal number 0053. Or P.A.S.C.A.L. Fifty Three for short." 'Pascal 53' looked around and into the other container. It seemed to scan it with a light. "P.A.S.C.A.L. 77 is deactivated. To activate him, you press the holographic directed at you."
"Ooo ooo! Do I have one?!" 'Big Sis' opened her box and saw a bright green one. "Yay!"
"I don't think I have the willpower to turn mine on." Amajiki muttered looking at his white one.
Cut the montage of everyone who got one turning it on.
"We P.A.S.C.A.L units are state of the art artificial intelligences created by Shiketsu West, we exist to help Heroes with their job. There are only a hundred of us." Iida's said somewhat stuck up.
"So you know... don't break us? Please?" Roku's looked around.
"You said 'sentiently', you're a sentient robot?" Housei asked incredulously, standing up and put her hands on the chair in front of her. Tokoyami moved his head aside.
"Did you not hear me?" Iida's said again. "We're the best A.I. around. Of course we are."
"That's cruel." Yaoyorozu realised. "You have to follow your programming but you're fully aware of it."
"We could always not?" Kinoko's suggested happily.
"I want to sleep. I'm going to sleep on your shoulder 'Suki-babe." Mei closed her eyes and leant against Itsuka.
"It seems like my assigned Hero is quite the character." Pascal 53 stated going back into its box and turned itself off.
Mei slept through the entire road trip home.

After the bus had pulled in, the students were walking back to their respective dorms. The Pascal Units were all floating around to get a grip of the place, seemingly not needing to stick around due to programming. They reached the 1-B dormitory first as it went in ascending order for letters. H, G, F, E, D, C, B, A, it just works. Hado threw herself at Mei for a hug before they broke off and the three of them entered after the 53 and 77 returned.
Almost instantly they were swarmed by their friends. There were a lot of questions.
"Welcome back." Ibara bowed in greeting.
"It's good to be back." Kinoko yawned. "Good to have my room back."
"Congratulations on winning!" Tetsutetsu cheered with her loudly.
"KAIKIBAN! WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO YOU?!" Atsuki jumped over all of them and shook Kakumeiso. "Oh, hey Mei!"
"What's up. He'll tell you later. I need a good soak and a change of clothes." She wiped away any more questions with a flap of her hand. "Later, later."
"Komori-san, your Quirk must have evolved as well." Shishida said, adjusting his glasses. "They seem alive."
"Actually... Organisms within the 'Fingi' Kingdom are already alive." 77 corrected him.
"The fuck is that thing?" Awase asked curiously. "Can I take it apart?"
"Do not take me apart! I can show you the physical schematics of a P.A.S.C.A.L. Unit if you'd like?" He bobbed around the place, taking in the environment.
Kakumeiso reached her room and entered. Little Godzillo was vibing under his thermal lamp and looked like he'd been well looked after. Taking her shirt off, she stretched.
"I don't think I should be looking. I'm a male model." 53 looked away, getting caught by her. She got him in her hand and pressed his button, turning him back off and placed him in his box. Sighing, she felt a disturbance at the door. Removing her bra and transforming back into Kaikiban, he opened the door. Setsuna was stood there with a smirk.
"Hey~" She was immediately let in. "You didn't immediately come and see me when you got back." Throwing herself onto his bed casually whist watching him intently.
"I wanted to get changed." He shrugged looking through his closet for his favourite shirt and cargo shorts. "Look away." She laughed as she covered her eyes, popping them off and looked from another angle. "You are a nightmare."
"And you have some explaining to do."
"Right. I do." He sat onto his bed after changing. "What do you want to know?"
"Are you cheating on me? You seemed very comfortable with Hado-senpai." She got off the bed and looked down at him.
"No. And I'm sorry if I made you feel like I was." He stated, visibly steeling himself to let stored things out; it was just a feeling.
"You and Hado-senpai look pretty close from afar. I get that you were on the same team, but this is kind of weird." She sat down a respectable distance away on the bed, knowing that it wasn't the time for snuggling.
"She insisted on being my 'Big Sister', and after a quick word with Mei, I agreed. I asked her about why she wants to be around someone like me so much, and she said that she was concerned. Setsuna, I don't know how you feel about this, but l feel comfortable letting my guard down around her. She's one of, if not, the strongest in U.A. so I allow myself to feel vulnerable around her."
"Why don't you feel comfortable opening up to us?"
"That's not what I said."
"I get the feeling it's what you mean."
"You're right there. I guess its because I want to be strong. It's been like that my whole life." Kaikiban lay back onto the duvet.
"And that's why you're obsessed with getting better?"
"Pretty much. The weak gather around the strong, and the strong protects them. But I never got why people gathered around me. I worked and still work so hard to keep pace and grow stronger so that I can protect you all. Even during when I was emotionless for the most part, so most of my life. People praise me for what I do and how good I do it, but I don't see it. It's vicious, isn't it? I want to get stronger, but I can't see how strong I am."
"So you want to keep us safe, by barrelling forwards with being stoic and honing your strength?" Setsuna was struggling to keep up.
"Yes. Wanting to protect people was something that was very recently a want for me. I'm not the same person since September, and certainly not the same person from April, Setsuna. I don't know if you still feel the same way you did then. I'm getting off topic. I want to protect, I guess. To put my Quirk to good use."
"There's something more, Kai." Damn, she was good.
"Yeah. I... I should be dead." He stated bluntly, she rose a concerned eyebrow. "I've begun to believe that I shouldn't be here a bit. If I hadn't've decided to go with Atsuki's dare, I don't know if I'd still be here. I'm from Deika City, and we both know what's gone down there. I probably would have died. But maybe, since I never was going to take the Entrance Exam, Atsuki, Seiotsu and Kishou wouldn't have been kicked in the ass into motion for it, and they would have failed and maybe died too." A small smile emerged onto his lips and something between a cough and a laugh came from him.
"Maybe I could still have my parents in my life? I could have lived a normal life, but that was never on the table for me because my own existence is a lie. Kaikiban Genyu never existed until Kakumeiso Genyu had a panic attack and went crazy and then the Quirk itself had to shut her down." Setsuna was surprised at the notion of his Quirk being alive and further surprised when wet trails began to crawl down his face and he balled his hands into his hair.
"I don't want to sound insulting, Kai; but your parents... did they ever abuse you?" He immediately looked concerned for her instead of him.
"What? No. Setsuna, my parents weren't abusive. They never hit me, or manipulated me. We were normal."
"But they lied to you about Mei!"
"Sure they hid stuff from me. But hiding something like that is fine, to me. It would have been a lot to take in for a child. I've never been right, not like you, or Itsuka. I've never been... normal. I can't speak for you, Setsuna; but I'm the only mentally disabled person I know. Kishou doesn't count with his poor names, he's just weird. I am mentally disabled. No matter what you think of me, I have Dissociative Identity Disorder of some form. Kakumeiso was a big thing for me, I went from emotional stunting to split personalities and the sentience of my Quirk is just a big news; it's probably what's helping say all of this. I have the emotional backing for it now because of my pact." He gestured to his blue eye. "An eye for my emotions and full access of Adaptation, don't ask yet please, still looking for answers there. Mum and Dad hiding Mei from me... makes me thankful honestly. It's allowed me to grow more; but it made me distrustful of them a bit. And well... things are complicated now for me. My parents were arrested but I can't get any details about where, no one will tell me anything. I love them, Setsuna. They're my parents. They rose me with love and care, none of what I now know that they've done changes that. But I can't accept what they've done."
"I get that. Thank you for that one, Protey."
"Shut up." He convulsed in what was hopefully laughter. "I got sidetracked. If I was never here, I wouldn't have met you, or Itsuka or any of you. Something else that Nejire does is that she doesn't care about my family or who I'm related too. I know you don't either, but a lot of others do. I can tell from some of the other classmates sometimes that having the child of attempted child murderers in the class is kind of not okay. And apparently just by being myself I creep out and scare them. Or Kinzoku-kun at least." He made a frustrated noise and a sob came from him. Setsuna took her cue and moved next to him, letting him let it out while rubbing his back.
"Is that everything?" She leant forwards to try and get a look into his eyes.
"I don't know. This whole thing is new to me. Real full emotions. Crying, opening-up, actually acknowledging the things that have been holding me down. I don't know. I just... I don't know..." His voice trailed off, trying to say anything else just caused a husky noise come from his windpipe. Neither of them spoke for a minute, sitting in their silence. "'Suna, how can I protect you guys if you guys are getting strong enough to protect me?" He got an almost amused noise from that.
"I'll ask this now, before we get into an argument. Do you want comfort or solutions?" She turned his head to look at her.
"My solutions for what's going on aren't ethical. So comfort please."
"Well, c'mere." She moved to the top of the bed and patted beside her, following his 'top''s demand, she held his head against her chest. "If we're getting stronger, then it doesn't mean you're weak. It means that you don't have to stress about needing to look out for us."
"Not going to happen."
"I know. But Me, Kouhei-kun, Kamakiri-kun, Kinoko, because I know that's the main four, we'll look out for you too. So don't be a lone wolf with us. We've got your back when you're not well enough to have ours. And as for people judging you on your parents' deeds? Fuck them. Don't actually, but you know what I mean. And if you're having a crisis over not being real, can you feel this?" Her hands began to eep down his body as their eyes made , she had a new perverted face on.
"Fortunately." Her hands reached the bottom of his shirt and his the hem of her skirt.
"You want what comes next, right?" She whispered.
"I don't think it fixes any of the three issues." Kaikiban removed the tiara she'd kept in her hair since the play and moved to be at eye level with her.
"It solves the not being real one. You've been around longer than Mei has, so whose to say that she's the fake?"
"Buddha almighty, I love you woman." She didn't even get to respond before he pressed his mouth to hers and they went on to do something I don't think I can describe in a 15+ rated story.
