You appeared just as I feared you would:

Offering your charm just like burnt Oud.

Under your eyes I question if I should.

Night arrives, your image is firewood.

Gallantry dies in your slender fingers,

While that sleek smooth stomach sways and lingers.

I saw then a friend show her true colors,

Lustful hues of amber, Autumn flutters,

Dancing, bringing wanting, my heart shudders.

Guarding, I kept love for my Beloved.

I resist that charming face I wanted.

Resisted though adored and desired.

Lilith nearly took my Rose of Sharon,

Sweet flower, the incense of Heaven.
