So, I'm trying to wrap my head around something….

Today is called “Good Friday”… . Correct me if I'm wrong…. This is the day in which Christ was “allegedly” crucified, yes?

If that is indeed the case, why then, in the name of Zeus’s butthole is it called “Good Friday”?!

Wouldn’t “Forsaken Friday” be more accurate?

PS: I know the official answers, I’ve thoroughly researched them all… and ya know what? - They’re not good enough.

I could tell you… but there’s no reason to..

It’s a rhetorical question- that only need be answered by one’s self.

I understand that to many this day carries great significance as a day of hope and holiness and that’s perfectly fine. No hate here.

Yet, for those who came before them, the Gnostics, the wise men & the Wyrd … today is a day of grave reckoning…

A line drawn forever upon the sands of time…

On one side, freedom, wisdom, enlightenment, MAGICK - on the other - everything and everyone that ever dared oppose such.

And yet, I suppose he’d still have probably wished us a happy one none the less…

🤘 :v: 🫶

I asked myself that question so many times then I gave up trying to understand and I agree with you the name would be more for Sunday for the resurrection anyway great post :ok_hand: 🤘 oh yeah I forgot   did you know Muslims and Arabs they call that day " joumaa al hazina " which is ancient Arabic for SAD FRIDAY , the French and French canadiens call it HOLY FRIDAY , so it's really only in English that it's called GOOD FRIDAY for some reason

Your instincts and inquisitive nature serve you well… one of the several official reasons stated is the idea that his death saved us all - yet I personally think it would make more sense if it were Good Sunday - this day feels more like a day of great mourning - thank you for the comment and for the like! :relieved:

If Jesus was alive today. I don’t think he would appreciate the holiday either. IMHO and YMMV
