Hi! It's me, Meduza! :sparkles: :sparkles: :sparkles:
I am here with another chill, unserious post that may or may not give you some ideas about making your life more magical and whimsical, giving you a glimpse into my life too!
The first thing i like to do is... Taking walks. Especially in nature. People underestimate the impact that being inside too much has on us. We all have our days when we feel like doing nothing but laying in bed. That's okay. But the problem lies when we feel so disconnected from the outside world, scrolling through social media and looking at all the places you could visit in your area on Instagram, when you can visit them too. While i might sound like a 'boomer' right now, i gotta say, it truly is that damn phone sometimes! Social media and the internet impacts our psyche a lot.
So in order to let my thoughts out, i go outseide for a walk. And let my thoughts wander as i wander the streets of my town... And also, i am trying to develop a habit of trying to observe things around me in a more detailed way. For example, i saw that some wild purple flowers are growing under my neighbors garden entrance. They grow in that same place every year, and every year since i was about 14 or 15 , I'd take one and give it as an offering to a goddess i worship. In my defense , it's outside of the garden lol.
I've noticed the blackberries on the sidewalk growing outside of an abandoned yard. And everytime i go in that direction, i try not to poke myself on the bushes.
Another thing i like to do is to randomly say one or two things i am grateful for, from time to time. Gratitude towards life, the universe, the gods, the destiny, anything you believe in, is important!
You may think you are thankful enough, and that there is no need for saying random gratitudes. But of course, we often forget about the things life has given us, especially when we indulge in the enjoyment of our achievements, and often end up striving for more. Which is why i believe saying thank you to life sometimes is important. Whether it's randomly or when something good happens, i say thank you.
The last thing is... I like to look at something randomly, and think about what nostalgic thing , cool concept, or a person i love, reminds me of. When i see something pink and orange, it reminds me of me and my girlfriend, as that's our "signature colors". When i see vendors on touristy places in my city sell traditional folklore inspired souvenirs, it reminds me of when i took traditional serbian dance classes, learning the traditional dance called kolo.
Do you ever get deja vu and feel frustrated because you can't where that memory comes from? Well, perhaps my method can help you remind yourself a bit more and clear things up!
