From Outlaw to King - The next big Merchant in the business

Following the ing of Lucas, Daichi and Hannah saw it fit to take Courtney in. They offered to take Celeste and Francis in as well, since their commissions more than covered their expenses, but the two preferred to keep the farm running until they could move out and give it back to the Sawyers.

Hannah made sure to always stay close to Courtney as much as she could and to tuck her in every night like Lucas used to.

Hannah: Goodnight, little one. Don't let the bed bugs bite you~

Courtney: Maybe they could bite me back at the farm. There's no chance that this house has bugs in it!

Hannah: Oh, you'd be surprised at how many just slip in from the garden!

Young Courtney was enrolled in private school, gifted a new wardrobe that would fit her new life and taught the basics of her sister's trade. She struggled to keep up at first, but eventually seemed to settle at Keep Hatano and to mold into the lifestyle that Daichi and Hannah could offer her.

Much like her older sister's, her mood swung between periods of calm and powerful bouts of depression for which both she and Hannah sought professional help.

Eventually, Hannah and Daichi realized something incredible: Lord Hatano's shop was back on the market, and at a rather affordable price all things considered.

Hannah: Daichi, this is a sign. We have to buy it.

Daichi: It will leave us with nearly no savings, maybe we should wait...

Hannah: It's a steal, if we don't get it now someone else will! Don't tell me you don't want such a big piece of your family history back.

Daichi: I do, ittedly. Alright, let's go speak with the owner and see if he's willing to budge on the price at all.

Not too long after, Hannah and Daichi became the proud owners of Hatano's Jewels.

Though the first couple of weeks were slow and barely covered the costs of the activity, the quality of Hannah and Daichi's work soon attracted a variety of clients both old and new, and the activity's profits much improved.

When Courtney eventually grew old enough to attend high school, she also decided on her own to help out at the shop.

Having an extra pair of hands on deck made it so that Hannah could focus on special requests and new jewels even while Daichi and Courtney took care of the clients. But soon it wasn't enough anymore.

So Hannah resorted to offer a job to her brother and sister. She'd rather keep everything in the family than hire external help.

Though Francis refused, citing his imminent move with his partner and his intention to help with her juice fizzing activity, Celeste gladly accepted. She moved to Keep Hatano the same day that Francis left, letting the farm return to its rightful owners.

Celeste: You know, it feels so weird to think that the farm is no longer our home. I guess for you it's not so different, you grew up here, but for me it is.

Hannah: No, I get it. I struggle to think of Keep Hatano as my home. It's still Daichi's house to me, even though we've been married for a while. I guess eventually we'll get used to it, though.

Despite owning a thriving family business under their belt, Hannah and Daichi made sure to make time for each other and went out on dates every time the shop was closed.

Hannah's first pregnancy was a surprise, although a welcome one. She was absolutely ecstatic to be a mother and her enthusiasm soon rubbed onto the rest of the household.

Hannah's pregnancy was not easy. She suffered from gestational diabetes and was thus plagued by high blood sugar. She also grew tired easily and often needed to rest. But the difficulties did not dampen her mood, despite everything.

Daichi shared any moment with her, whether good or bad. They discussed and planned everything, from the nursery theme to Hannah's home birth wishes.

Having chosen not to know the baby's gender, they settled on the names Atsuya for a boy and Akiko for a girl. They both wished for a little girl, oddly enough.

Eventually, as Hannah's condition worsened, she was forced to go to the hospital to get an induction.

She went in at 2PM and started Pitocin about one hour later.

Hannah: Well, there goes the home birth...

Daichi: It's okay, all that matters is that everything is under control. Regardless of how our baby comes to the world, all that matters is that it's healthy.

Hannah: You're right. I just hope the baby comes sooner rather than later.

The baby finally came at 4AM. Once everything was ready, the delivery was quick despite being Hannah's first.

They had a healthy baby girl whom they named, as planned, Akiko.

Daichi: Akiko Hatano-Satrinava. Welcome home, my child.
