Hello again! I have just finished my last blog on some of the new fighters in Ultimate in my goofy art style. In this second part, allow me to focus on the Echo Fighters.
Let's resume, shall we?
Daisy, my favorite of the Mario princesses, is somebody I drew more than a few times over the years.
Her look is more simplified, offering a larger crown, less hair, and solid black eyes. The dress mixes elements from the past and present, and the purple skin is darker.
Mmm...I'll be honest. Richter looks a bit on the chubby side. I wanted him to be the same size as Simon, but it turned out a bit different. 🤔
Fortunately, Richter's colors are more basic. The green outfit was easy to do in my style.
Chrom here looks less anime and more goofy. It's a quirk applied to Fire Emblem characters in my style.
I think I did all right; while Yusuke Kozaki has a far better design, I did my best to have Chrom look good with his normal outfit and my favorite palette swap.
Samus is a character I draw every once in a while, usually in relation to Super Smash Bros. pics. Dark Samus lifts her look from my stylization of Samus.
In my first photo of her, Dark Samus was a pitch black color; here, she is a *deep* shade of blue. She doesn't look quite as veiny as her actual render.
In my first drawing of Ken, I mistakenly gave him a slimmer body and different-looking hair. This photo here has him looking more like he should, with similar body proportions to Ryu.
I styled his pose after his "Get serious!" taunt. It looks nice alongside his teal recolor.
"Mack, Isabelle isn't an Echo Fighter. Why is she here?"
...Yes, I forgot to put Isabelle with the original fighters last blog. That was something I realized a bit too late, but she still has similarities to Villager, so it's not all bad, right?
Anyway, Isabelle first was drawn in my Unpopular Mario Opinions video in 2015. As her look is so basic, I didn't run into much trouble drawing her. The teal-green sweater turned out okay...
And that does it! I understand that these two blogs came out of left field, but I wanted to show off my style of drawing Smash characters for a little while. I can accept that my aesthetic isn't the best.
