: ̗̀➛Too much, too little - A poem

I feel like I'm too much, too wild

I feel like I'm nothing, too mild

I chase the storm, then run from light

Caught between wrong and right

I want people close

but when they get too close

I get scared.

and then I push them away

Secretly hoping they won't leave me astray

I cry

and then I laugh

and then I want to scream

I don't know why

I get angry fast,

then hate myself for it.

I say things i don’t mean

but I mean the feeling behind them.

I love too hard.

I hate feeling alone.

but I also don’t trust anyone.

It's like living in a storm

that never ends.

and people only see the rain

not how hard I'm trying

to hold the sky together.

This poem is about a big of the struggles that people with Borderline Personality Disorder may face. Such as pushing people away, hoping they'll still stay, having emotional outbursts. Saying things they don't mean, just because they want to describe the way they feel more than actually trying to hurt the other person. How fast their mood can change and how more intense their emotions may feel to them.

again, this does NOT mean that everyone with Borderline Personality Disorder struggles with this. It variates per person. This is merely just an aspect of what some individuals with BPD may struggle with.

Disclaimer: I am not trying to stereotype BPD. I'm rather trying to put my own feelings into poems.
