It's like I'm underwater

but nobody sees

I smile, I talk

but none of it's me

Everything feels heavy

my head, my chest

like I'm carrying something

that never lets me rest

I wake up tired

go to sleep worse

like I'm stuck in a loop

or living a curse

I don't really want to die

but I don't feel alive either

I just want a break

from being a constant fighter

They say 'it gets better'

but I've heard it before

how long do I wait

before I feel more

I'm not okay

but I keep it all inside

drowning in silence

with no place to hide

Just once I wish

someone could see

that I'm not fine

I'm just trying to be
