hello! i’m here to update you on my ten week challenge. if you don’t what it is, click here!

and for week two...

start exercising for at least 30 minutes each day, and get 10,000 steps daily.

i track my steps and fitness with a garmin vivofit watch. i guess it’s similar to a fit bit but it doesn’t have all of the same capabilities. since my current watch is getting pretty old, i’m hoping to get a fit bit alta hr for my birthday!

how i did...

sunday

steps : 3,314

minutes of exercise : 0

so...i guess i told myself that i was going to start on monday? when i exercise, sunday’s are my stretch / rest days anyways, so it’s okay that i didn’t do anything today :)

monday

steps : 8,338

minutes of exercise : 40

i biked for 40 minutes! it was on a super hilly 1 mile loop. the map my run app says i went 6.55 miles at an average pace of 9.8 mph. it says i burnt 142 calories but i swear it was more that that lol.

tuesday

steps : 7,853

minutes of exercise : 40?

im not sure the exact amount of time i got. activities i did were pacing around the house (lol please don’t judge me), ping pong, and kickball. i paced for around 10 minutes, played ping pong for another 10, then kickball for around 20. i also went to the pool! i didn’t swim though, i just took a nap and read :)

wednesday

steps : 7,920

minutes of exercise : 10?

yep, not much exercise again today. it was my first day back at school and i was completely drained of energy. i did have to go up and down the stairs constantly at school, though. and i paced around my house again. i usually pace while i do stuff on my phone (it’s weird ik)

thursday

steps : 9,665

minutes of exercise : 30

i didn’t do much, just walked to the park and around a few trails.

friday

steps : 5,246

minutes of exercise : 0

yeah, oof. school is really draining me.

saturday

steps : 3,010

minutes of exercise : 0

oops. i kinda had a busy day with babysitting, a sleepover, family visiting, etc. that’s still not an excuse though :/

sunday

steps : 12,090

minutes of exercise : 45

i went on a walk to the dogs to walk, walked the dogs, then walked back lol. so, as the only day i actually met my goal, i feel pretty good!

my thoughts overall

honestly, school is draining everything out of me. i literally come home, eat junk food, then nap. it’s all i can manage to do. maybe once i get used to school i’ll start eating healthier and exercising daily again. i’m really upset that i couldn’t reach this week’s goal, but i feel like i needed a week to do whatever i wanted as well? i guess next week is a fresh start.

next week...start getting ahead on my school assignments!

Are steps in exercising walking? And wow, I doubt I could deal with any exercises. I always run out of breathe just by jumping jacks for 10 secs.

At my school (it's strict so it would make sense to do this) everyday except Fridays, we do many exercises (jumping jacks, jumping jacks in two different ways, pogo stick which is just jumping, squats, run in place, & run in place while kicking our booty). I think I almost out few times I do it. I think it's cuz I have horrible asthma and the teachers that make us do it says it's not because some of we're overweight (which I am, 200+ lbs)

woah that’s a lot of exercise. and asthma must suck. but yeah, i count walking as exercising! you’re getting your body moving :) it’s not intense workout or anything but still good

Maybe I should start journaling whenever I exercise just to keep me motivated :ok_hand: 🏾
